Publisher's Summary

Will bookish magic, an adorable dog, and a little assistance from their friends help Brett and Rory realize the world is what you make of it? That a chance at happiness is something to be seized, not tossed aside?

After the death of his partner, Brett Tanner never thought he’d love again. It was too much to ask, or want. Until Rory stumbles into his bookstore, one evening, awakening his heart.

But, is it too much? Is he betraying his first love by finding himself attracted to the sexy, but socially awkward, younger man?

Love: Limited Edition is the first in the Home in Hollyridge series. It's a dual POV about a younger man trying to find his way and an older widower who needs to start living his life again.

Note: A short LGBT listen. Originally published in the anthology Between the Covers.

Sweet short story!

This book was a treat! An easy to read love story with a lot of heartwarming moments between wonderful characters. I loved how Rory and Brett got together, finding in each other exactly what they needed at the exact time they needed it. The sweetest love story ever, just so perfect to retreat on it in these difficult times. Of course, if you got also a professional voice actor interpreting the characters in such amazing way, the book became more enjoyable. So nice!

Short, sweet and cute!

I'm a big fan of Elle Keaton's writing but I never made time to read this story when it first came out. I'm so glad that I got to listen to it as an audiobook. I've not listened to anything performed ty Kerr Lordygan before but I thought he did a pretty good job with this short story.

While there wasn't a lot of time for character development, and this was sort of an insta-love situation, I thought the resulting story felt like it was much longer (in a good way) than it was. The two MCs were very sweet and I enjoyed how Rory was able to build a better relationship with his older parents thanks to Brett.

A complimentary copy of this audiobook was provided to me but my review was voluntary and not influenced by the author and/or narrator.

Insta-love in a small town.

Lovely and cute short story about a young man struggling to maintain his direction in life despite his parents and another one who thinks his time for happiness in gone. A second-hand bookshop, a lazy dog and some meddling friends will bring them together

that was lovely!

Even though the book is short the story and the characters are well developed and it's beautifully written. I loved it very much and it made me smile. And the narrator was great.

Short and Very Sweet

There’s something to be said about being able to pack a punch like this in such a short little time but this story was well rounded and very well written I thought. The narrator wasn’t my favorite but he’s wasn’t bad. I hope he gets better with more time under his belt. Some of the ways he pronounced things was off... Skylar was said right a few times and at the end it was SkyLAR and it was weird. Definitely loved the story and would be happy to read about his roommate Jeff and Skylar!

A Perfectly Sweet Story with a Pinch of Spice

I rarely read/listen to novellas because I feel they’re too short to feel fleshed out. This was not the case for Love: Limited Edition. There were a lot of emotions packed into this gem of a story. The two MCs, alone for different reasons, are perfect for each other. I highly recommend this story.

On the downside, the narrator was not my favorite. I hope most of the things that bothered me are because he’s fairly new, and that he will grow out of them. His intonation of some words was off, the stress put on the wrong syllable, things like that. Then there was the recurring tinny sound in the background.

All in all, this is a great story that I hope is the beginning of a series. The characters are strong and the supporting cast is top-notch. I would recommend listening to a sample before buying. If you decide not to listen to the audio, definitely read the book, you won’t be disappointed.

Short and adorable

This short story about Rory and Brett was a satisfying and tender story about love and happiness. The writer created lovable characters, indulgent spicy scenes and a sweet happy ever after ending that was both fulfilling and endearing. The author definitely has a way with words and creates amusing dialogue and compelling moments both romantic and emotionally compelling between family members. The narrator was wonderful. Crisp and clear, the listener is able to understand the narrator and enjoy the story from start to finish. It takes a talented voice actor to bring life to each character and the emotions the writer is communicating. Overall this was an excellent listen, and I would listen to it again!

Brett & Rory 💙💚

A beautiful short story about a widower and an artist/barista. Rory finds what he wasn’t looking for at a library. He is handsome and a bit older but just right. What blossoms from that encounter is such a great romance. Second characters are also delightful, like the mom and their friends. Good voice Mr Lordygan 🎧

Sweet instalove romance

Two wonderful main characters that are easy to love, a dog, a bookstore, interesting side characters that pave the way for more, no angst and a beautiful HEA. What more could you want from a quick, easy, enjoyable and romantic read.
The performance by Kerr Lordygan was absolutely perfect, he truly captured the characters and brought them to life.

Short and so cute!

4 Stars!

Love: Limited Edition was a really enjoyable surprise! For it being such a short audiobook, barely 1 hour 37 minutes, it packs quite a bit of story and I wasn't left feeling cheated that I didn't get to know the characters as well as I would've liked, which is always a bonus.

Brett and Rory were sweet together and despite it being pretty insta, it didn't feel forced. They had chemistry and fit well in each other lives. I loved that their story was pretty much angst-free and that even if it was fast, it was believable.

I really liked Rory's parents and their acceptance of both Rory and Brett and how they practically adopted Rory's roommate when he needed them.

Kerr Lordygan is a new-to-me narrator and I really liked his performance. His voice suited the story and Rory and Brett perfectly and I hope this isn't the last book I listen to him perform.

Overall, this was a lovely, feel-good audiobook to listen to and just lose yourself in. Very recommendable!

Sweet and hot

A new narrator for me and I really liked his voice. A very sweet romance with some very urgent steamy scenes thrown in. A heart breaking back story for one MC but he gets his HEA. If this is the start of a new series then it sets the scene for Holly Ridge very nicely. Elle is quite a new author for me, this is only my second book but I'll be back for more.
