Publisher's summary

"Whatever happens in the future, whatever we become in life, know you’re the best thing that ever happened to me."

Taking up shop in the former kosher bakery, Wilder Torres breathes new life into old traditions, but there’s a darkness about him most of the residents in Cherry Creek don’t want to touch. He’s a kind and quiet man, but Wilder hides scars under long sleeves from a vicious attack that nearly took his life, and he’s determined never to let anyone close enough to hurt him ever again.

And then he meets Lorenzo Moretti, a stranger sitting on a park bench, looking like the world had just kicked him in the gut.

Wilder has seen that look before, for years whenever he looked in the mirror. He knows the disaster that lies ahead, but he can’t deny wanting, even if he knows it’ll be hard work. And Wilder also Lorenzo deserves someone to remain steady and love him through it all. Even if he can’t find the ability to love himself.

Beautiful

Loved this one from EM Lindsay! It was a beautiful friends to lovers story and I totally fell in love with Rocco and Lorenzo! Cherry Chreek is a great setting for a story and thisbone was so well written. Nick Hudson is fantastic and I hope he decides to stay in the business for a long while as he is quite talented!

Different and interesting

Lorenzo doesn't know who he is, or even who he wants to be, and in his insecurity and dissatisfaction he is rather hard to like. But he isn't a bad person, and he sincerely wants to change. I enjoyed his bumbling journey, and I especially enjoyed how he was given the opportunity to see his past assumptions in a new light. How you view yourself significantly affects what opportunities you see in life. His lovestory with Wilder is not alone what makes him find his way, for which I was grateful. I enjoyed the book a lot, and look forward to the next in the series!

Amazing!

I recently read this book. The audio version is so much better. It truly comes to life. Wilder and Lorenzo stole my heart. They're both so, I don't want to say broken because they really aren't. Damaged I suppose is what I'm going for. They're exactly what the other needs and they come into each others lives at the right time.

I'm super picky about narrators and Nick Hudson just jumped pretty close to the top. He was very easy to understand. Sometimes in audiobooks side characters come off sounding silly, and that wasn't the case at all in this one. I was fully engrossed from the beginning.

You soothe the wound in my soul

On the retrospect, it might not have been a good idea to do this book as a standalone since there are a lot of characters from the previous books in the series. Usually, I go for fluffy and romantic type of love stories but this book is a little heavy on angst and trials.

Both main characters has a lot of inner demons they had to overcome and they are both two very lonely men who are somewhat detached from the world. Although it’s a bit heavy handed in angst, the hurt-comfort part was really quite satisfying to read. Plus, Nick Hudson did a wonderful job narrating this story. I think I would check previous books in the series to better enjoy this booo. Might do a relisten on this one after I have finished listening the previous books in the series.

Wilder and Lorenzo

I've enjoyed this series and the cast of eclectic characters. They have some interesting and heavy issues but they finds ways to help each other in either friendship or love. I love quirky small towns and this is definitely that. It was a little hard to get through he start a little slow moving and ok we get it, Lorenzo was lost , had a superficial life with no one who really cared about it...that lingered and repeated a little too much for me. But overall Iiked the story and Hudson does a fantastic job with the narration.

Great hurt/comfort story!

I really liked this audiobook. It’s a great hurt/comfort book. I liked how both men really found themselves in this book. I loved how Lorenzo evolved. My heart broke for Wilder. He went through so much to get where he was. I love how gentle Lorenzo was with him. They really were a perfect match for each other. I enjoy all the friendship that have grown in Cherry Creek! Nick Hudson did a great job with the narration.

phenomenal!

E.M. Lindsey has a way of telling a story that will suck you in and not let you go until she has finished telling it. I want to live in Cherry Creek, it feels so real. Lorenzo has come to Cherry Creek to find what his brother Rocco found. He’s not sure what that is but he finds himself instead. Wilder left an abusive relationship and moved to Cherry Creek 3 years ago to find himself and start something of his own. They start out as friends but find love and steadiness. You will feel all the angst and emotion in her story. Nick Hudson did a fantastic job with the narrative, each vocal for each characters were distinct! Fantastic job overall!

Love Him Steady

Love Him Steady is Book 4 in the On The Market series. I love this beautifully written story about two broken men, Wilder and Lorenzo, who find their way to each other just as they are. I love how gentle and patient they are with one another. A simple act of kindness brought them together. Lorenzo was ready to pack it up and leave Cherry Creek but Wilder saw him sitting outside and brought him a cupcake and some company. I love the bravery and rawness of these characters. I also love them getting their happy ending. Sometimes found family is better than blood. I definitely recommend this book and series.
Narrator Nick Hudson does a marvelous job in this series. He really adds to the emotion of the story.

Wilder and Lorenzo Find Love in Cherry Creek

Small-town Cherry Creek is the setting for romance in EM Lindsey’s 4th book of the ‘On the Market’ series. This time it’s bakery owner Wilder and newcomer Lorenzo sharing a love connection.

This is my favorite book of the series so far. Everything about it is terrific. Lindsey has written a story that feels tailor-made for me. There’s the quaint small town, a clueless newcomer, residents ready with their advice, stranger-hating goats used for comic effect (Ouch!), and two men hesitant about love but wanting it all the same.

With Lorenzo being new in town, he goes through some rom-com hijinks at the beginning. Once Wilder and Lorenzo meet, there are several wonderful getting-to-know-you scenes. Because Wilder’s had an abusive past and Lorenzo’s life has lack ed direction and purpose, both men feel undeserving of love, causing the story to get emotionally heavy. It got me teary-eyed at times. But, take heart, readers, Lindsey puts everything right and gives Lorenzo and Wilder a satisfyingly well-deserved happily-ever-after.

Narrator Nick Hudson does a stellar job with this entire series. His performance here, with Linsay’s fabulous writing and his amazing voice-acting, really steps up to next-level greatness.

This review represents my honest and voluntary opinions for ‘Love Him Steady’, a book that was given to me, at my request, as a free review copy.

Highly recommended.

Love this Series

This series does a phenomenal job at outlining the issues that some handicapped have. I love the way the characters mature over time and how they grow with each other. Another fabulous story by EM Lindsey. Then add in Nick Hudson's narration. His ability to shift between accents was amazing and made the story so much better. I continue to enjoy this journey that has been laid out and look forward to more.
