Publisher's Summary

After tightening the Bonds with his friends, Sean worked toward new things and trying to fix past mistakes. He and his growing family had just moved into a new home and hired on new staff for day-to-day matters. All he wanted to do was craft and love his wives, and it seemed like the peaceful life he hoped for might be within his reach.

Denmur and Lord Sharpeyes would not let that happen. Using their connections, they put into motion a chain of events that would reverberate across the city of Hearthglen. Sean was called to attend the Lord’s party - he came, bringing all of his family and friends with him.

Both sides were surprised by events as they unfolded, and it quickly became apparent that conflict would not be denied. With the Einherjar, a Valkyrie, and an old foe, Velin Dykstra, backing them up, Evan Sharpeyes and Klein Denmur challenged Sean to trial by combat.

Exhausted and with depleted energy, Sean still led his wives onto the field of battle. The fight was bloody and taxing, but in the end, Sean struck down Evan Sharpeyes before collapsing. With his eyesight fading, Sean looked at his wives, but only saw a few female-like figures rushing toward him. The last sound he heard was a great many wings converging on him, and his mind drifted to thoughts of Morrigan....

Word of Sean’s victory spread throughout the city, but none could say whether he had survived to enjoy it.

(This work contains adult situations that some might find offensive, the least of which is graphic sex. This book is about an Overpowered MC, and contains a harem. You’ve been warned.)

Another great book in this series

There are very few writer's in this genre that I would consider great writers. perhaps a few of them would be good writer's. this series has been consistently amazing and thoughtful. I have cried more times than I can count and felt good about it. I can only think of a couple other things that have ever made me cry. the emotional roller coaster that I went through in this book was earned. I genuinely wanted to be there with those characters. there are a lot of characters to keep track of but when you really pay attention to each and every character, you can see that the writer is staying true to each and every character ark.

"You are a writer. you were touched by the divine for who else can create worlds from nothing and Life by mere thought. "

The writing manifesto.

Thank you for bringing this story to us and I look forward to continuing this series. I look forward to the day he stomps out his foes and kills the Queens. we'll see!

Excellent writeyness and vengeance galore

I’ve come to expect superior writeyness from DJ and this book doesn’t disappoint. Intrigue, betrayal, vengeance and some shabby stabby action (of both kinds, knowwhatimean?).

Outstanding

This has to be one of the best editions to this series.
The amount of progression that occurs without breaking the narrative is fantastic. I appreciate the sex scenes being limited. Allowing for the story to hold it’s own.

Sean Marries More Wives, Kills More Enemies

BW 6 moves the story right along. His powers expand to include an afterlife for his wives and a hell for his enemies. His powers help him mirror modern technology. Sufficiently advanced magic being indistinguishable from high technology.

So slow!

This series has been getting slower and slower. The “romance” is awkward and boring and it felt like nothing happened until the last hour of the book. The MC continues to constantly swear revenge against his enemies and never uses the tools available to him to solve his problems.
In a world where swearing on your life that you will tell the truth forces you to speak the truth or die, almost all of the heroes families trouble could easily be solved.
I will continue to buy Schinhofens other books for now but I’m out on this series.
Ps: naming a character in your sex book after someone that works for you (Andrea) is creepy.
