Inpactantes
Esta novela y su predecesora “El cuento de la criada”, realmente son geniales.
Impactantes, realistas para los tiempos que vivimos, dan para reflexionar y despertar.
La historia está magistralmente construida.
La narración es muy buena, buena y muy mala (mala y chocante en el personaje de Nicole). En general me parece que va más lenta de lo necesario en todos los personajes.

Recomendable si leíste "El cuento de la criada"
¿"Los Testamentos" es la respuesta a cómo cayó Gilead o cómo consecuencia del éxito de la serie de "El cuento de la criada" que hizo que muchos leyéramos el libro y surgió una oportunidad comercial? De hecho, es una secuela publicada casi 35 años después, y creo que la respuesta a mi pregunta es sí para ambas cuestiones, responde a como cayó la sociedad de Gilead además de explotar el éxito comercial de la serie. Si leíste "El cuento de la criada" tienes que leer "Los Testamentos", y recomiendo la serie, dado que como pocas veces pasa me resultó mejor que los libros. No me entusiasma demasiado el género distópico, pero recomiendo el libro y a la autora. La narrativa es brillante pero oscura, no estoy del lado de los que opinan que las sociedades involucionaron o ven el futuro con pesimismo, todo lo contrario, a pesar que hay muchísimas cosas por mejorar la mayoría de los seres humanos seguiremos creando un mundo mejor.

Desde el cuento de la criada la tía Lidia era de los personajes secundarios más atractivos y se agradece que esta secuela se centre en ella.
La actriz de voz que encarna a tía Lidia es muy buena.
