Narrator ruined it for me

I tried to listen to this book as I'm a big Jillian Dodd fan. However, the narrator ruined it for me. She was boring to listen to and all the voices were the same. There was no distinction between her or her dad which drove me crazy. I've never returned a title before but I got 20 minutes in and couldnt do it anymore. Sorry Jillian. Maybe a different narrator would have saved this.

Boring

Absolutely no story line and absolutely boring. It’s just girl meets boy and off they go. What a waste of a credit!

Cute story

This is a cute story but WHYYYY doesn’t the narrator give the English characters an accent?

Maybe A Different Speaker

The story was great, but the reader should have been someone who can bounce between a British accent and American, like in After or even Outlander. It would have brought the story more to life.

Meh YA Story but Fail in Geographic's & Narration

The story was a mediocre teen love triangle placed in London. They lost me at the teen kissing a boy just to kiss, then “slowly” becoming attracted to his bff. Not interested in reading shallow characters. Plus, the narrator is horrible. She has the main character down, but everything else just didn’t work in character transitions. No voice inflections, and the fact that she’s an exchange student in London, there was a serious lack of accents! Just everyday American Teen angst with nothing fleshed out. Brits are much more intelligent than that. So disappointing. I had enjoyed the author’s other Book series, but this one just did not work. DNF.

Mallory, Harry, Noah & Mohammad

I LOVED IT! I am obsessed with this story and can't wait to see where it leads.

Mallory is sent to London on a super short school exchange. You would think three weeks would fly by, right? At first, she doesn't want to be there and can't wait to get back to New York but then she meets best friends - Harry, Noah, and Mohammad - and soon she can't imagine returning home.

I am editing my review after listening to this book for the FOURTH time. Originally I read books 1 and 2 and was sucked into the world of London Prep, devouring both books within 24 hours (overnight with zero sleep) because I couldn't bring myself to put them down. I then "re-read" them by listening to the audiobook when each subsequent book was released. I am now preparing for Book 5: The Party and honestly, I fall in love with this series even more each time.

The way Mallory's relationships with each of the three boys unfold is so beautiful. And I adore Helen (her host mom).

Moriah Martel IS Mallory James. She has the perfect youthful (and whiney) voice for Mal. I do wish she did the London accents and I hope that one day they will re-record with a British male narrator reading for the guys but Mal is perfect.

Great Read

London Prep (London Prep #1) was a great read by Jillian Dodd. Mallory started a three-week student exchange in London. Mallory didn’t want to go because it will be drastically different than New York. She is staying at Noah’s house and meets Harry and Mohammad who are friends with Noah. Mallory thinks Harry is adorable and tarts a “relationship” with him. Noah is very intense but she also is attracted to him. I really enjoyed reading Mallory’s story and can’t wait to read more in this series.

Every womans inner high schoolers dream

This book is every womans inner high schoolers dream. We all wish this could have been our journey. From being forced to travel abroad for school, seeing a new country and making new friends, to the hot guys that attach themselves to her. You will be throughly jealous as well as heartbroken at the events Mallery goes though. I absolutely can not wait for book two. I devoured this book way to fast and need more.
