Publisher's summary

A London Lovers Series Stand-Alone

When Leslie Lincoln, a spunky, red-headed American, suffers an awkward moment with an arousingly-sexy British man - she thinks her life can't get any more pathetic.

She's done with men.

She doesn't need them.

She especially doesn't need their muscular thighs.

No siree, she's going to forget all about the brooding, complicated, and seductive Theo, who captivated her on the dance floor of a London nightclub.

Keep telling yourself that, Lez….

Immersing herself into a new type of romantic cleanse, Leslie thinks she'll never lay eyes on Theo again. But somehow, he's managed to bulldoze his way back in - her cheetah-print onesie pajamas be damned.

He wants more.

She wants to run.

But he can't seem to let her go.

Both of them have a past - and neither want to share.

How can love possibly survive in darkness?

4 London Stars

Yay! New narrator! I am usually not so in your face about a narrator but I started on book 4 and 5 and the narrators blew me away they were sooo great. I loved this narrator.

Also loved this book, not once did I roll my eyes. Even when Leslie was talking with Fin. I just can’t connect with Fin, it’s just me I have come to terms Fin and I can no longer be friend’s lmao. It’s ok she has Leslie so don’t feel bad for Finny.

So Leslie and Theo, I floved there love story, it’s a great addition to the series. I wanted to read this one esp after reading Hayden’s book. Yes they are totally all standalones, so even though I knew what was going to happen and why it was still neat to go back and listen to it unfold from her point of view.

I loved that Theo was all in throughout this whole book and he was the one that brought Leslie out. He would be there even when she didn’t want him to. Loved that!

I want a Frank HEA who’s with me!!!  He needs some love too poor guy. He has to watch all his friends fall in love.

✫✫ 4 Stars ✫✫

I thought Leslie was hilarious. She is like a train wreck in her own mind when in reality she is just pretty normal. I was glad to see her get her HEA and I liked Theo for her. He was a little to serious but I understand why. If anyone should have baggage it's him with all this family drama. I think I was most excited about the introduction of Hayden since I listened to the Harris Brother's series first and there was a lot of reference to his past but I had no clue how bad off he was until this book. I'm going to love seeing him heal over the next couple books. This book had a lot of sadness but it also had a very happy ending.

Narration was the same as the last 2, not bad.

Sexy, Funny, Emotional Story ~ Love it!

Leslie is a Funny, Snarky, red head who's not traditional in any sense! I adored her friendship with Frank, and loved how they bantered, and interacted with each other. I think on some level, we all crave friendships with people who know us so intimately, they know just how to help us, when we are down and out. Leslie takes Frank's offer and tries his Seven Day Cleanse to get out of her "funk." Each day of this cleanse, brings on a whole new hilarious challenge. While undertaking each challenge, the sexy Theo and his Clark Kent classes, takes these opportunities to get closer to Leslie and break down her walls.

While Leslie and Theo have their own secretes, Theo's seemed to have affected him the most. Deep emotions are attached to these secretes, and you can't help but to feel these emotion, as each character goes on their own emotional roller coaster.

Some got it, some don't……Piper Goodeve's GOT IT! She delivered an extraordinarily delightful performance, giving this story that "extra special something" taking the story from just great to fabulous. It was such a treat listening to Piper narrating this story, she really brought the characters to life.

A sweet, sexy story, full of laughs and lot's of different emotion. All the characters were excellent, well developed and likeable. It's a five solid stars story, and I'm hooked! I will definitely have to listen to the other stories in the series.

Audiobook was received at no charge by the author, publisher and/or narrator in exchange for an unbiased review via Audiobook Boom dot com.

Well worth my time, and definitely worth a credit or better yet whispersync deal!

DELIGHTFUL LOVE STORY WITH A HEALING TOUCH!

What did you love best about London Bound?

I loved it all, it was laugh out loud funny, and very touching!

Who was your favorite character and why?

Leslie and Frank!

Which character – as performed by Piper Goodeve – was your favorite?

Leslie!

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

This would be a cute movie!

Any additional comments?

** I was given a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review **

Leslie escapes her life in the USA and moves to London...she has a secret...her daddy is not a nice man, and just imagine how much that would hurt your heart...Leslie has to basically just let her mom go...and create a new life...Because of this Leslie has sworn off men, she doesn't trust them and is happy to live her life alone as a cat lady if she has too! She meets Theo quite by accident, and its on! She tries to escape him, but he will not give up...and good thing he didn't!!!

GREAT STORY!! BOUGHT BOOK 1 ALREADY!!! I RECOMMEND!!!!

A sweet, sexy, hilarious audio & STELLAR narration

The sweet story of Theo and Leslie is incredible. The crazy cast of characters are really brought to life in this audio and make you laugh out loud and well up. Amy brings the emotion in and hits all the notes perfectly. You'll want to know more about all of them, but Leslie's crazy antics and Theo's broodiness mixed with his sad past make a beautiful, perfect love story. And there's no lack of steam either, from the very first moment.

I've loved all of Amy's books but Piper sent this audio over the top in my opinion. She breathed life in to the story and elevated it which is always the sign of a great narrator to me. It's a standalone and totally worth the credit. If you haven't checked out Amy's audio before, this is the book to do it with. Piper's ability to be a vocal chameleon and bring realism and emotion to both male and female characters is uncommon in the audiobook world and makes me seek her books out.

The combination of Amy's writing and Piper's voice skills makes London Bound a MUST LISTEN!!

Good

This book is an erotic romance love story.

I would advice reading the other stories to understand the character. I was lost.

Leslie is done with men and when her roommate decides she needs an intervention, in fact he talks her into a 7 day cleanse. And the sexy British seems to be stalking her or protecting her. With one tragic day after another, but Theo always there.

Theo does not throw away the opportunity to claim "the one" it is convincing her she is that seems to be the problem. He cant stop thinking of her or get her out of his head.

Best Amy Daws book yet!

Loved this latest Amy Daws book. If you haven't listened to one of her books yet- pick this one up. From the start of the first embarrassing encounter with Theo, lead character Leslie provides a lot of laugh out loud moments. Frank, who is Leslie's best friend, is amazingly funny and jumps in with some lighthearted humor at just the right moments in the story. Theo and Leslie's relationship has a lot going on that provides just enough angst to keep you intrigued but doesn't drag out the story. There is enough meat to the story that you are always laughing, crying, or excited for the next chapter. Also the chemistry between the characters is hot. Two thumbs up!!

Wow!!

I enjoyed this audio sooooo much. It was made up of everything I enjoy in a book. There was lots of humor that had me giggling and making note of the one liners to use at a later time. There was some super hot romance and sweet love. There was angst and heartbreak and most of all it was real. It wasn't outrageous or outlandish. Just a real story about some real friends.

Piper Goodeve is a fantastic narrator and I can't believe how awesome she did with the accents! I was really impressed.

Although this book was given to me in exchange for my honest review by audiobookboom.com, it was in my tbr and I am going back right now and using my credits on the whole series. I can't wait to hear more Frank stories and also hear Finley's story.

Loved the Story

Loved the storyline. Two people with haunting pasts, one American, one British. Beautifully written, funny, angsty and emotional. Loved all the characters, especially Leslie and Theo (a true sexy alpha male not afraid to portray his feelings and go for what he wants). Leslie has a troubled past and won't open up to anyone, she has trust issues and is hell bent on putting herself down, not willing to bare her soul. Theo knows that Leslie is the one for him as soon as he lays eyes in her in a London nightclub. Sassy American Leslie enjoys a moment with Theo on the dance floor and after embarrassing herself during a rather raunchy dance, she lives happily in the knowledge she will never see him again. Wrong! It would appear their lives are destined to cross, but Leslie is hell bent on not letting Theo into her life and definitely not into her heart. Luckily for us, Theo doesn't give up easily. Must say with the audio version I was a little disappointed in the narrator's voice when she portrayed the British accent, too much plum in mouth for my liking.

A beautiful story

I absolutely loved this audiobook. The narrator was excellent, even doing a decent attempt at a British accent.
This story has real depth. I certainly felt a full range of emotions whilst listening.
Leslie and Theo are a beautiful couple. I was so invested in their story. I loved the way Amy Daws added some much needed comic relief in the form of gay best friend Frank.
This series is well worth a listen.

Quirky romantic drama with clever twists

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

4.5 stars overall. A lovely story with lots of laugh out loud moments, plenty of romance, hot sex, drama and touching emotional scenes. Firstly, I loved Theo. He seems like the perfect man - sexy, intelligent, determined, caring, funny, creative and in touch with his emotions. Lesley's dress sense, humour and sheer Joie de vivre was great. She often made me laugh and I admired her enthusiasm and courage (especially when fulfilling certain tasks.) At one point she describes herself as 26 going on 16 and she was right! For about a quarter of the book she drove me mad. Honestly I wanted to slap her hard, repeatedly! She was insensitive, self centred and selfish to such a degree that I caught myself shouting at my car stereo (hey, it made me feel better.) You should read this book yourself, so I'm not going to explain fully why, but one example is she's 'officially' been dating Theo for 24 hours and he wouldn't explain a trauma from his past. Lesley, (acknowledging that she has her own secrets that she won't tell him) pushes him away emotionally and physically then leaves. This attribute occurs a few times and it really got to me. I guess that shows how engrossed in the story I got. lol. I loved some of the other characters like Frank, too and appreciated that all loose ends were tied up and it had a lovely snuggly happy ending that even brought a tear to my eye.

What other book might you compare London Bound to, and why?

Hmm not sure of a match.

What aspect of Piper Goodeve’s performance might you have changed?

I thought that the characters came to life, especially Lesley and Frank. I found Theo's voice a bit flat and at times I had problems differentiating between the male characters. But at some points I found the almost staccato delivery technique annoying as it took me from the story, it jarred me. Apart from that the pace and the drama was just right.

Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

All in all a good read, which stays with you, as I'm still smiling at the nicknames and the high jinx, and sighing over some of Theo's outstandingly romantic statements.

Any additional comments?

One little criticism is that Lesley went on and on and on and on about her and Theo's first meeting. Yes we get it! Unfortunately the repetition took all the humour out of it for me. Anyway, a woman with her daily dress code, as it were, wouldn't be mortified that long. ;-)

A fantastic series of books!

Any additional comments?

I loved this series of books-I’ve read them all so far and eagerly await any additional ones. I have now read two of the series in audiobook format. I’ve never been particularly keen to try audiobooks before listening to ‘That One Moment’ by this author. There used to be a children’s TV programme in England called ‘Jackanory’ when I was little-where a guest star-usually well-known, an actor etc. used to read a story out to viewers. I never liked this as I didn’t like all the different voices which the narrator used to put on. I preferred to read a book myself. ‘That One Moment’ completely changed my mind on audiobooks as it has duet narration-the male parts are read by a male and the female voices are done by a female. This was ‘just right’ in my opinion and pure luxury as the two audiobooks I have listened to since I have enjoyed but I have been wishing ‘but if they had this male and female dual narration it would be so much better!’ I think I’ve been spoilt! I like the nice natural tone to Piper Goodeve’s voice, it’s a nice steady pace, when she’s just speaking normally. I’m not a fan of audiobook narrators putting on a man’s voice. It just doesn’t sound right to me. I’d prefer them just to read it all in their own voice-one can tell when it’s a different character speaking when the author has put comments such as ‘Theo said’ etc. I think it would flow better rather than the voice artist keep trying to change their voice.
I did enjoy this book again though. I loved it the first time when I read it and it was great to be able to listen to it whilst getting other things done at the same time-eg. housework etc. I’ve found audiobooks are so convenient that way and am getting ‘into them’ now. London Bound is one of my favourites in Amy Daws’ series-it has a bit of everything: Romance, suspense, comedy, tragedy, hope. A great book-can’t wait for more in the series. Please more duet narration-or even more narrators!

another good addition to this series.

this follows lesley and theo who have been in the background of the previous books. This book covers some emotional abuse and it's effect very well.
I found the characters likable as always but I did find the fix happened quite abruptly near the end. It did not spoil the story but I felt that the characters went from refusing to talk about their issues to facing them head on and then that was it.
I love the supporting characters building as I go through this series. I hope Frank gets his own book and I like that we are able to visit with the previous couples but the author is not taking the focus off the main story.
I am going onto the next book soon to see what happens next with this group of friends in London.

Quirky, heartwarming romance

An enjoyable, funny, heartwarming, a little sad but a lot happy romance. The characters are flawed and quirky with real life issues, which makes them more likeable and more interesting. Piper Goodeve's narration brings the story alive. Overall, an enjoyable experience.
