Great book!

Book 2, I thought just as good as book 1. I really enjoyed this story. There were a couple of parts that I felt they stuck on for a little too long and the end was a little strange. In book one they drew out the ending somewhat and in this one they didn’t even talk about meeting the sheikh before the final battle. It was a little rushed. All in all great book!!

Excellent romantic suspense

I’m really enjoying this author. She is using unique plot lines that I’ve never seen. She does a lot of research on her destinations and things like weapons. She creates great characters with an in-depth story with some hot sex but not a lot. Narration by Noah Levine was excellent too.

Why do the female characters have to be stupid!

Why when someone tells you they made a mistake that almost got them and others killed, do you decide to do the same thing yourself? Stupid decision. I don’t get it!

Espionage and rescue

Amber has been a rebel since the death of her mother as a young child. Now, a brilliant hacker living in Hong Kong, she is an unwitting accomplice in espionage against the USA. When her bf is killed, it’s up to the Navy SEAL team, moonlighting as EXtreme Team, to rescue the damsel in distress. Unbeknownst to Amber, and SEAL Charlie, they know each other from gaming. Between bombs and bullets flying, this pair have to figure out their feelings for each other. Love the banter between the team members! Took some getting used to Amber’s gullibility. Still, enjoyable story, and series.

Good Story

Definitely a solid 4 stars. probably could be 41/2, but I set high standards, bit worth listening to.

Not for me

I like a good story no matter what the topic, but filthy sexual descriptions where not necessary to the story. Just threw in to be nasty. Ruined it for me.

Great narrator doesn’t compensate

I love listening to Noah Michael Levine but I just couldn’t get into this book. Too many characters, couldn’t relate to them, didn’t like the heroine (how gullible can a woman be?), too much inner dialogue.
Sorry but I DNF this one.

Made it to Chapter 12

This book annoyed me from the beginning.
Charlie and Amber met playing online. She's a hacker trying to go straight but someone conned her into hacking the DoD. That starts the mad dash around Hong Kong.

Amber sounded naive, headstrong and stupid. The things she does and says had me shaking my head. She was the dumb blond going to the basement knowing the killer is there. The couple from Book 1 is in here and Jenna is suffering frim PTSD. Why? Don't know. Charlie I didn't like much either. He's tricks her over and over again to try and get he contacts. Him and his brother Willie are total horndogs. They just rubbed me the wrong way.

Maybe it got better around Chapter 13 but I gave up and returned.

The narrator had me confused on Amber's voice. She suppose to be American but sounded British? Not right.

I heard the next book is better. I'll give it a try.

Rinse and repeat!

Amber is on the run in the bustling city of Hong Kong. Amber used to be a black hat hacker, now trying to put her past behind her, get a legit job to get by while wanting to break into (no pun intended) the gaming industry; her dream job. Breaking her promise, she helps a friend hack into a gaming company computer system, only to discover she had hacked the DoD for weapons schematics. Betrayed by her friend, his contacts were now after her and the thumb drive she possessed. Amber’s daddy hires our heroic EXtreme Team from book one to rescue his daughter. Continuing, the story revolves around the safety of both Amber and the thumb drive. It wouldn’t be complete without romance, and so, romance blossoms for Amber and Charlie. Everyone making it home is the goal of the Team. I must say that this book is better than the first volume, although development or progression is fairly linear. Ya know, I’ve looked at book covers like these and thought, I will never listen to these types of stories. I don’t know why I did, perhaps because they were free on Audible Plus. Now I know why. Not why I listened, but why they are free. Three.point.five.

Another Idiot Herione

Navy Seal Charlie & fake British accent ,supposedly American hacker Amber fall in love in a online video game platform. Amber is tricked into hacking into a U.S. defense system. Once again the untrained & now PTSD suffering Jenna & the Extreme team go to work. Amber (a not so smart hacker) was tricked by her French lover to finish his hack into the defense system & then he is killed by one the groups vying for the information. Amber takes the memory card & runs. From there some of the same stupid decisions from the last book are made & a sideways slide continues into a downward spiral. The implausible scenario of a supposedly highly intelligent woman hacking into a US defense system & not knowing it until later is idiotic.
