A true 5 star read

Wow! I’m blown away by this story and it’s easy pace as it tackles something huge. Not necessarily a thriller but an amazing work of women’s fiction centering on Rin’s recollection of a cult experience to a journalist reframing her version of what’s true…or maybe she knew all along. Eerie, satisfying ending.

Almost five...

This book was a five star read up until the end. I liked the end, don't get me wrong, but I just wanted more. After all of the build up it just seemed like suddenly the story was over. Definitely recommend though!

Wow. What a ride.

The pacing of the story is perfect. The main character is engaging and layered. The ending is perfect. A critique of the cult of personality born from our current media culture.

Couldn’t stop listening. Great story and loved the dual timeline. Audiobook was also really well done. Will keep coming back to read more of her work in the future

Captivating from start to finish

Loved this just as much as Muenter’s debut novel. Great pace, well developed characters. Each chapter left me wanting more. Lots of twists right up through the final words. Great narrator too. Highly recommend. (Not scary and I’m a scaredy cat!!!)
