Linda White is on a mission to sic karma on her cheating ex-husband Grey in this laugh out loud second instalment of The Green Room Chronicles.

After being blindsided with infidelity and financial devastation, recently widowed Linda has sworn off men forever. Nearing middle age, her dream of retiring early from the airlines is no longer within reach, so she retreats into the world of battery operated boyfriends to deal with the stress. When the one purchase Linda counts on for a long haul flight to Paris backfires, she passes away suddenly...from a conniption fit, of all things!

Linda lands in the infamous Green Room, where she's met by veteran Green Roomers, Dee Smeltzer, and Bonnie Hampton. Always up for stirring the pot and having a good time, they introduce Linda to the finer aspects of the Green Room and Edwina Starr, the renowned sorceress who has a few karmatic spells up her sleeve. Let's just say, "Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned."

Join Linda, Dee, Bonnie, and a few familiar Green Room faces - old and new - for a frolicking green time that will leave you in stitches as karma comes full circle. Will Grey's "anatomy" get an overhaul?

This is the second story in The Green Room Chronicles. I am loving this series so far! Poor Linda. After her husband dies, she learns of his cheating ways. Not to mention, she was ready to retire and now she cannot financially afford to do that. On her way to Paris, Linda dies and ends up in The Green Room. There she meets Bonnie and Dee, a couple of seasoned veterans from The Green Room. Let the fun begin!

Equally Hilarious!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I would, it's a quick fun read.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Linda Gets Her Groove Thing?

When Karma came back on Linda's husband and his mistress.

Have you listened to any of Hollie Jackson’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

This one was just as good as the first one I listened to, Desperately Seeking 69.

Who was the most memorable character of Linda Gets Her Groove Thing and why?

The narrator does a great job with accents, especially Edwina. It really sets her apart from the other characters.

Any additional comments?

After a long day of meetings, I couldn't wait to listen to this novella by JD Frettier, desperately needing a laugh or two. After finding that her cheating husband not only had a mistress and left her in financial ruin, then had the nerve to die, Linda decides that boyfriends of the battery operated variety are the only way to go. However, things don't always go according to plan. We all know that dealing with customer service is a killer but poor Linda is the poster child.
Awakening in the Green Room, Linda is greeted by the Bonnie and Dee, from Desperately Seeking 69, and begins the process of acclimating to her new environment. Laughs abound as she is body sculpted and lead through the process by her new found friends. Still angry, Linda finds that she can help Karma along and finds allies in her plastic surgeon and Edwina Starr, sorceress extraordinaire. Watching Karma in action, I dare any reader to keep a straight face. This series is a lot of fun, with great characters and witty banter, and the narrator does an amazing job of differentiating the characters. I look forward to more stories from the Green Room from Ms. Frettier.

If only Earth were like the Green Room.

A bit of a cliché - from incompetent customer service to the attractive doctor to revenge on the unfaithful husband, everything is there - but the story is still entertaining and there is a lot to laugh about.
The narrator was very good.

entertaining short story

J.D. Frettier had me belly laughing again with this, the second installment of The Green Room Chronicles. Linda, Bonnie and Dee become the infamous trio and takes over the Green Room with their HILARIOUS vengeance plans.
The spell that Edwina did...... hell has no fury like a woman scorned.
If you're looking for a laugh you'll definitely enjoy this.
