Words fail me in the best way possible

This was my first encounter with Chad Bird and his work. I could not be more impressed with the skillfully interwoven details, stories, and teaching that tell an incredible story. Mr. Bird’s performance, full of compassion for all of us poor miserable sinners, and passion for Jesus made this audiobook an awesome and gripping experience. I had a REALLY hard time pausing the book. Praise God for Mr. Bird and this beautiful work of art. I am seriously considering listening to this audiobook again; immediately. It’s that good.

A light read deep meaning

Chad Bird does an amazing job easily communicating deeper meaning in Ild Testament scripture. I love that he reads his own material. The story of Jacob is more memorable now and I found real life applicaions.

Well researched, well read, and always pointing to Christ while revealing Jacob to be a little messed up - like the rest of us.

Loved this book. I’ve listened to it 3 times and have ordered the hard copy too. So much packed into this story of Jacob that I never knew or thought about. WOW! Chad Bird is coming to my church on Jan 31 and I can’t wait.
