Classic St. Mary’s story, including a return to Troy and an accidental observation of a pair of heroes proving that a hero can be as much of an — I’ll say “jerk,” because otherwise Audible would reject my review — as anyone else. Focuses almost entirely on Max, although other main
(and secondary) St. Mary’s characters make their appearances. Markham is there, but not up to his usual antics.

Another amazing installment in thr annals of St. Mary's
Zara Ramm is a wonderful narrator, with perfect tone, pitch, modulation, and pacing. Her characterization portrayals are varied enough for even non-British listeners to discern who is speaking.
Jodi Taylor has woven a marvelous world in her Chronicles of St Mary's Time Traveling series. Her narratives are engaging, enveloping, engrossing...in short, you won't want each story to stop. I do recommend reading in chronological order if possible, to prevent spoilers and discontinuity.

A visit with St.Marys never disappoints 😆
As always, I’m so appreciative of Jodi Taylor’s Christmas gift to her readers. This one did not disappoint…questionable decisions lead to temporal shenanigans with a new & interesting character. Her particular talents add a new dimension to the team’s toolkit. (Also, I don’t think it’s a spoiler to say…I’m very excited for the possibility of new adventures involving Smallhope & Pennyroyal along with an existing St. Mary’s associate 😉.) Well done Jodi and as always Zara Ramm’s performance is stellar; can’t get enough of this dream team.

Another creative fun funny adventure
I sure appreciate how well Jodi expounds on characters from past books. I caught the Micklejohn name in the Small Hope and Penny Royal book, and Calvin Cutter's character is a scream. May I say ALL the characters in this series AND the Time Police are dear to my heart. These stories have helped me through tough times. Brava Jodi and Zara. What a team.
