This audiobook is great for those suffering with ASD as well as friends and caregivers. The information is clear and empathetic. Creating a supportive and encouraging environment for those suffering is important, but as the book says encouraging independence is also vital for sufferers to live and thrive with ASD. I have an highly functional autistic grandson and this book taught me so much about him and why he behaves the way he does. He does not like crowds, loud music and new places. I now understand. I love the teaching methods she talks about to help them feel more comfortable in society. This is a must read for parents, teachers and anyone who works with children on the autism spectrum.
