Publisher's summary

My sister, Emmy can be impulsive. Like when she spontaneously shows up on my doorstep, heartbroken.

Emmy says she and her husband, Armando, had a huge argument and she needs some time alone to figure things out.

Except she’s not alone.

Armando, Emmy’s friends, and even her co-workers have followed her to Harmony Lake. When Armando turns up dead in our cozy, tight-knit town, my sister is the prime suspect.

But there are plenty of people in town who had a reason to want Armando dead. One of them is the killer.

Why did Emmy’s friends and co-workers follow her to Harmony Lake? What secrets are they trying to keep hidden? Who else is in danger?

I don’t care how much evidence points to Emmy, I know my sister isn’t a killer, and I’ll prove it if it’s the last thing I do.

If you like your cozy mysteries with a bit of humour, small town Canadian life, a hint of romance, a close circle of quirky, lovable characters that you wish you knew in real life, dogs and cats, and free knitting patterns, there's something in this series for you.

Clean listen: no graphic violence, sex, or strong language.

Other books in the series:

  • Knit One Murder Two
  • Killer Cables
  • Murder & Merino
  • Twisted Stitches
  • Son of a Stitch
  • Crime Skein
  • Sins & Needles
  • Rest in Fleece

Each book in the Knitorious murder mystery series is a standalone mystery that is solved by the end of the book. The books can be listened to in any order. However, the characters' lives and relationships evolve and change over time.

Great book and series

Life Crafter Death is the 9th in the Knitorious Murder Mystery series by Reagan Davis. This book is another winner! This story revolves around the death of Megan’s sister Emmy, the daytime TV star, and her husband. Megan pursues her “hobby” of investigating the crime (clandestinely of course). I love the main and recurring characters and seeing their relationships grow and mature. The group of friends are the family they choose and its wonderful. This book is part of the series, but they can be read as a stand-alone. The narration by Zim Avaltrades is wonderful. She brings the story and characters to life. I’m looking forward to the next one!

Love this series!

Megan’s sister Emmy has come to stay with her because she got into an argument with her husband. Shortly after, her husband arrives to try to reconcile with her. The next day, Megan and Emmy discover his dead body. I always love the characters in this series! This mystery brings a whole set of interesting characters to the mix as people who know Emmy and her husband begin to show up. This was a fun cozy mystery full of humor. I enjoyed the adventures as Megan, along with her family and friends, solve the mystery. I listened to the audiobook and the narration was really good.

Book 9

I am working my way through this series and enjoying it very much. I love that we get to meet Megan's sister Emmy in this book. Reagan Davis does a wonderful job of introducing of a new character. You come away feeling you know them as well as you know the characters who have been in the story from the beginning.
This is the first in the series that I have listened to. I had a hard time at first with the narrator's voices for the different characters. But I did get over that and by the end of the book I had gotten into being read to. The one small thing that I couldn't get past was the sound used when a text message was being read. Kind of like an echoing in a room. I understand that they wanted the listener to realize this was a text and not a verbal conversation but for me, it was distracting.

Emmy arrives in Harmony Lake

This is the ninth installment of the series. I really enjoyed that April’s nicknames where not everywhere. I find them annoying.

In this episode, Megan’s sister Emmy’s runs to Harmony Lake after things don’t go her way. Emmy seems a bit spoiled, self-centered, and needs to grow up and deal with relationships.

I love that Megan is so well grounded. She is a good balance for her sister.

I figured out the end before the reveal and kept thinking why aren’t any of the characters thinking this way. I surmised because they are too close to the situation.

I found the book well-written and the characters were unique. Did I understand why all the people from the BC area followed Emmy to Harmony Lake -yes. Did I buy into it- no.

I find this series entertaining and this book is a standalone. I listened to this book & it enhanced the story.

Sisters against the world

Life Crafter Death is a Knitorious Murder Mystery by Reagan Davis. I enjoy this series and I believe that the characters are so good. Meghan's sister, Emmy, comes to visit and is sure that her marriage to Armando, a star Soccer player, is over. Reagan Davis writes such good mysteries. Book 9 has so many surprises and twist that I couldn't wait to see what was going to happen next. I was not expecting the reason for the murder and Zim Avaltrades absolutely brought the story to life. I am looking forward to the release of Book 10, In Stitchness and in Health.
