Inspiring book. I couldn't put it down.

I read (not listened) to this book and found it irresistible. The author doesn't try to sugar coat her thoughts or beat around the bush in her assessment of the cause of the 9/11 terror attacks. She's obviously also still hurting badly(at least at the time of the writing of the book)as a result of the death of her husband. An engaging story and clearly written from the heart.

Not what your ...

led to believe this is about. Yes, there is some story on Todd Beamer. It goes into his upbringing some, his marriage, etc. But, I found the story to be more about Mrs. Beamer rather than Todd Beamer. And it is more on the religious beliefs that she has, that I could have done without. Don't get me wrong, The story benefits somewhat from that knowledge, but she spends far too much time on it. If I knew then what I know now about the book, I'd have saved my money.

Let's Roll and trust God

A little slow at the beginning but I really enjoyed the book it was very honest showing his faith was with him until the end and reminding the reader that God can make beauty out of tragedy I also enjoyed the music in between each chapter. Having it is well with my soul play at the end was a tangible reminder that God waswas is those passengers on 911

Spending a Few Hours with a Friend

While listening to this book, I felt like I was spending time with a dear friend, trying to understand how she is able to cope with the devastating, personal loss she experienced on September 11, 2001. This book is so much more than a story of loss and survival. It is a book of faith in God and the use of this faith in times of crisis to find peace and purpose even in the face of adversity. She shares her life, and that of her husband's family, their courtship and marriage, and then the events that led up to and followed September 11th. I cried bitter tears as I listened to the descriptive insights to her road to acceptance and how faith in God's plan for each of us can get you through anything. It even helped me get over some of the anger I harbored for so long for the terrorists who so willingly ripped apart families and friends in the act of hate. I am grateful to Lisa Beemer for sharing her story and reminding me that God is in charge and will provide what we need to endure anything life brings. It is a story that I will remember and draw from the rest of my life. It's a fantastic read.

So touching!

This book was so inspiring. It gave me hope in humanity and renewed my patriotism. There were countless heroes on September 11th. The men and women on flight 93 will forever be in our hearts. They were brave and died giving their lives to save others. I believe we will see them again and be able to hug them and say Thank You! This book is well worth your time. It is well written and very emotional.

Captivating

Very interesting but sad story. Well written and narriated. Read the book several years ago and recently listened to it again.

Faith in times of grief.

This book is a good listen. It is Todd and Lisa Beamer's story, of heroism, loss and faith in God. It is from a Christian perspective and is a must read/listen for those who have lost loved ones. I loved it.

Soul-Stirring

Hearing a personal 9/11 story from someone who knew God personally and who trusted in His infinite wisdom and absolute love was such a refreshing way to look at this terrible disaster. It build my faith as I heard how God filled her with His peace and reassured her that He would always be with her, helping her to get through each day. It's wonderful to hear of the peace she experienced because of knowing Jesus as her personal Saviour.

The narrator read with such compelling emotion that I actually had to double-check that it was not the author herself reading!

I highly recommend listening to this book.

A Testimony To Love

Not at all what I was expecting. If you are not a Christian please keep reading. I was initially a little phased as I have a deep belief in G-d but my faith and that of Lisa Beamer's is 'miles apart'. It was a struggle to get through the first few chapters. However was it worth it? YOU BET IT WAS!

This is a 'little' tale about a dreadful event on 9/11 but a HUGE volume about a man, a woman, a family, their past, their earthly LOVE and their LOVE EVERLASTING.

Whatever happens Lisa will carry her husband in her soul until they are reunited again.

Inspiring

I loved this story. For me it was especially inspiring to know it was a true story. I was inspired to live a life of service to God and to make a difference to the people I meet and work with. And also to my family
