Another excellent modern detective...

...suspense mystery novella from John C. Dalglish! I am listening to the San Antonio Detective Jason Strong novella series in random order. Let's Play, the 10th book of the 15 book series, is about a serial rapist and killer of seemingly unrelated young women. Jason Strong and his team race to save the life of his latest victim who is a college student at the University of Nebraska. Narration is excellent, but author Dalglish should pick a narrator and stay with him/her. He has used 5 different narrators for books in the Jason Strong series.

Dalglish is a self published author. In my opinion several novellas in the Jason Strong series are overpriced considering that the books are 2 to 5 hours in length.

Great story and narration

This was my favorite story so far. Kept me guessing until the end!

Really enjoyed listening to the narrator. Hope to hear more from him.

Dalglish 🧸⛏️🔎 ~~ I read this on Kindle while listening on Audible, and a bizarre discovery pulls Jason Strong and Vanessa Layne into a high-profile cold case that suddenly becomes very active again. What initially appears connected only to the past quickly turns into a desperate search to save a young girl’s life. 🚨 Jason and Vanessa must rely on old-fashioned police work, new partnerships, and a little luck as they race to stop a killer before another grave is dug. I enjoyed the combination of a cold case and a present-day threat because every discovery raised the stakes. Rich McVicar’s narration brought a familiar voice back to the series and handled the suspense and characters well. 🎧 This was a tense and emotional mystery that showed how a crime buried in the past can still place innocent lives in danger. 📚

Another good story

Another short and decent murder mystery. This one didn't have as much intrigue for me as some of the others. Each book is fairly consistent in writing style, characters, etc. It's the motives and methods of killing that change each time.
