Another great Jason Strong Mystery

This is another great story in the Jason Strong Mystery series. Called in to investigate a convenience store robbery in which the daughter of a prominent citizen has gone missing, Jason and his partner, Vanessa, find themselves embroiled in a not so simple case. This story has some interesting twists and at times you wonder if it will be solved at all. I loved the interactions between the detectives and their suspects, especially at the end of the book, and Vanessa and Jason’s repartee always keeps me entertained. The narrator did his usual excellent job of keeping the same voices for the reoccurring characters in the series and bringing out the emotions and humor in the story. I look forward to listening to book 19 when it comes out.

I was looking for interesting mysteries that didn’t have foul language, gore or explicit sex. Audible recommended this book. I really enjoyed listening. It was well written. I listened to all of John C. Dalglish’s books. I recommend his books.

Political connections complicate the case before Jason Strong and Vanessa Layne discover that a young girl is missing and may be running out of time. 🚨 Their search leads them into a tangled web of family conflict, secrets, and murderous deception. I enjoyed how the meaning of the title became clearer as the detectives learned just how far some people would go to protect their relatives and preserve their reputations. Jason and Vanessa must look beyond influence and family loyalty to find the truth. Bill Burrows’ narration added weight to the emotional and suspenseful moments. 🎧 This was an intense mystery about blood relationships, powerful connections, and the dangerous secrets families will kill to protect. 📚

Good narrator

Another good murder mystery with a twist and lots of deception. Good characters and plot. Oh what family will do for each other.
