Step one in starting my new life: Don’t fall for my shrink.

Scratch that. Step one is settling my daughter in our new small town life.

So what if it’s the set of a reality TV show?

I agreed to let cameras follow me around, but stay the hell away from my kid.

And screw the storyline about a grumpy single dad finding love.

I’m here for the fresh start.

It’s bad enough I’ve got these sessions with sexy psychologist Mari.

Mari and her foul-mouthed parrot and her love of quirky trivia.

Mari and our blazing hot kiss in a bizarre underground bunker.

I can’t fall for her.

See, I’m pretty sure the good doc’s hiding something huge.

And a woman with secrets is a recipe for heartache.

Take it from a guy who knows.

A romance like this is forbidden six ways to Sunday.

So why can’t we keep our hands off each other?

One-click this forbidden doctor/patient rom-com about a single dad trying to find a new life in a small town, and the psychiatrist with a secret who could just be his new chance at love.

Cute book

I’ve enjoyed both books. Narrators were wonderful. Here’s my biggest issue…. I love a good wrap up in the epilogue. I like to know their future, how many kids etc. With a series you don’t get that because you see them grow through the series. They barely mentioned Dean in this book. I found that frustrating. I’m not sure I’ll listen to the next book because of it

⭐️ AN IMPOSSIBLE CATCH 22 THAT DRAWS YOU IN ⭐️

Another truly enjoyable listen from TF as the former cult compound (now the stage for a reality show) claims its second couple - and this time it’s part-owner Mari, the community’s resident Psychologist, who feels the strike of Cupid’s arrow. And she feels it down to her soul because she’s very attracted to single Dad Griffin who’s the handsome new Brew Master on the show. But poor Mari’s big secret has her weighing up her attraction vs her ethics which ultimately means she shouldn’t go anywhere near Griffin.. or Sophie his twelve yr old daughter. Alas, it’s an impossible situation for Mari’s because she cannot confide in Griffin.. nevertheless, the heart wants what it wants and Mari’s crisis of conflict over her secret won’t stop this bitter-sweet train wreck from happening. And Griffin’s fresh new start will have him facing his past before he can truly emotionally heal.

A very enjoyable light listen with witty dialogue, humor and, as the relationship slowly develops, there’s internal angst because of Mari’s dilemma which will ultimately (and predictably) lead to drama, friction, feels and tears, There’s some very wise ‘life’ words here from Mari the shrink, Sophie the daughter and sisters two.. and heartfelt character growth ones from a man who’s honest enough, strong enough and desperate enough to apologize to the woman he loves. The loving bond between Griffin and Sophie was heartwarming and the dynamics between the two of them and Mari was precious as they each eased in place to create a new family unit. The love and support between the six co-owner siblings was still present and nice. And what can I say about the dual POV narration by Erin and Jason (.. ❤️ u Jason x) other than truly awesome as always.

Worth a credit? Yes.. and you don’t HAVE to listen to Book 1 first to enjoy this second book.. however, the previous book does give you a bit more detail about the compound and its goals.
