Nice to hear a new story for the non spacemarine empire units hopefully they keep it going.

Flushing out the lord solar

This was a great audiobook. Loved the different Astra militarum elements, each playing to their strengths. Forcing the lord solar has to struggle to survive with a rag tag group of various soldiers. Each loss being a blow to them while facing an endless throng of orks. Getting to see how the lord solar weighs his options and develops strategies while leading by example and throwing down when needed.
Highly recommend this audio book, I couldn’t wait to play it when driving to work or school.

great introduction to the character

the book feels like army roster snapshot in the best possible way, i always like it when great generals can make mistakes and rally from it

informative, good diversity of characters

liked seeing all the different regiments of the guard working together. the ork boss was also metal af, definitely didn't expect that.

A Decent Guard novel

A nice difference to the typical Guard book, even if the writing was a touch simplistic. Multiple small details shined through that showed that the author really knows the lore; when the Ork has his tooth knocked out and he sticks it in his pocket for later spending, big lolz
