Needs development

It’s a good story with wonderful narration. The characters are likeable and interesting, but frankly the plot is too simple and needs more twists and intrigue. I like murder mysteries that are not easy to solve and involve all sorts of unexpected happenings, and this book just didn’t have enough of that for me. However, it was a nice storyand held my interest. I felt a little disappointed at the end because I felt it didn’t live up to its potential. Performance was realy good.

Fun Cozy Mystery

This was the second book in the series I listened to and again, I was impressed with the well written plot and characters. I also enjoyed hearing the a shady suspect from book 2 was the victim in book 4. Sabrina was also looking into the local hypnotist for distributing questionable supplements to his clients when he ends up dead. She teams up with her detective boyfriend to try and find the murderer and gets way more than she bargained for. The narration fits well with the characters and makes this a fun series to listen to. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

An Entertaining Cozy Mystery

This audiobook is very good! Sabrina Daley, the main character, is an amateur sleuth. She assists her police detective boyfriend with his murder investigation, under the guise of being a police consultant. Although some of the investigation aspects are a bit far-fetched, the story is very entertaining. This audiobook is not a gritty police procedural. It is a cozy murder mystery with humor. The characters are well- developed. The narrator does a great job, and the storyline holds the listener's attention. The food described in the book sounds delicious.

Lemon Bars with a Side of Murder

Sabrina found a pill that her ex boyfriend was taking for headaches and becomes suspicious. She takes it to the chemistry teacher who tells her what it is and that there is an illegal substance in it. She plans to go talk to the hypnotherapist who is distributing these pills along with her detective boyfriend when they are called to his office. He has been murdered. Now the hunt is on and there are a lot of suspects and the final tally is totally mind staggering. Lisa Beacom is a remarkable narrator who keeps your attention riveted to the stoy. Fantastic audio and story.

So enjoyable

Lemon Bars with a Side of Murder, My thirty-third read from author Meredith Potts and the fourth in the Daily Buzz Mystery Series, different than her other series in that there is an ongoing thread throughout the first four books. Well-written & enjoyable, another cute, clean cozy mystery. Longer, at 149 pages, than many of the author's books I've read earlier. I was been given an Audible copy of this book & am voluntarily reading & reviewing it. Lisa Beacom’s talented narration adds to the book's enjoyment. I look forward to reading more in this series & from this author. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).
