Great mystery

Sabrina is determined to find the truth about the pills the hypnotherapist is giving to their patients and that is making them feel down. But when she and David are going to confront him he is found dead. Will they solve the mystery? Well written and we’ll narrated. Meredith Potts never disappoints you.

Continued enjoyment

This series is just a lot of fun, and as I continue to listen, I get caught further in the clutches of Sabrina and David's cases. This one features the murder of the town hypnotherapist, Gregory Morton. For me, this character holds some interest, only treating men and we don't know why. His murder is unexpected and these two will not let the case go cold. Through interrogations of friends we have met and new characters, there is much information to gather. But is it enough to find the killer? Add in the secret meetings that have been taking place, Betsy and Elizabeth in the coffee shop and a side of the delicious lemon bars Sabrina is eating and you have several hours of entertainment. I am still waiting to see if we find out about Jessica, Sabrina's missing sister, so am going to dive into book 5! Lisa Beacom is the voice of this series for me, and I am enjoying her narration. With lots spunk, she keeps the level of fun high with her performance!

Great Series

I love this series and these books can be read as a standalone! The narrator does a great job with the characters! Can not wait for the next in the series! I received a free copy of this book from the publisher and/or author and/or narrator in exchange for an honest review.

Lemon Bars with a Side of Murder

I just love how this ties in to the other stories in the series and answers so many previous questions. Of course all the books in the series can be read as stand alones, but they are so much more fun reading them all. Sabrina finds out what is in those "headache" pills that the hypnotherapist is prescribing to his patients, but never gets the chance to question him. But she finally gets the chance to question the "secret society" with her boyfriend by her side. And of course snickerdoodle makes an appearance in the story. He seems so sweet! The narration is fantastic, great job!

The perfect duo!

I love this series! The best part of it is the dynamic between the two main characters, Sabrina & David. David is a cop who is no nonsense & by the book & Sabrina is an amateur sleuth with street smarts & out of the box ideas. Together they make a great team with their “opposites attract” dynamic. There is mystery & humor all blended into one & it’s also really well narrated with easily identifiable characters! This is a good wholesome cozy through & through!

Needs development

It’s a good story with wonderful narration. The characters are likeable and interesting, but frankly the plot is too simple and needs more twists and intrigue. I like murder mysteries that are not easy to solve and involve all sorts of unexpected happenings, and this book just didn’t have enough of that for me. However, it was a nice storyand held my interest. I felt a little disappointed at the end because I felt it didn’t live up to its potential. Performance was realy good.

More please

I loved this book. I enjoyed the characters and the story. Since it's short it was perfect to listen to in the car as I was driving around. My only problem is I want more. I'm going back to read the first 3 and can't wait for more.

Looking forward to more!

Lemon Bars with a side of Murder: Daley Buzz Cozy Mystery, Book 4 by Meredith Potts, narrated by Lisa Beacom is a perfect choice for fans of cozies everywhere! Being that this is the first audiobook in the series I have listened to, I was a little nervous that I might feel a little lost, but that was not the case at all. This very easily could be considered a stand alone. At about 3.5 hours, I found this to be just what the doctor ordered. I love listening to shorter books in between the longer ones, so if the others in this series are of similar length, I definitely plan to add them to my Audible library, too! I'll let you read the plot synopsis on your own so you don't have to hear it twice. I will say, I found the storyline to be well thought out, fast moving, and engaging! I'm looking forward to exploring more audiobooks by Meredith Potts. :-) Her writing is entertaining, and I'm happy to have discovered her work!

Lisa Beacom's performance kept me smiling throughout. She did a great job with the voices of each character, and it is clear she enjoys being a narrator! :-) Her volume, pace, and pronunciation were right on cue, and I'm looking forward to hearing more from her in the future.

Overall, I give Lemon Bars with a side of Murder: Daley Buzz Cozy Mystery, Book 4 by Meredith Potts, narrated by Lisa Beacom a 4-4.3/5 stars. I recommend it to those who love cozy mysteries, as well as to those who are looking for a shorter, entertaining, clean "whodunnit" audiobook. I plan to check out more from the author, and possibly start at the beginning with Book 1. Until next time, happy listening!

Thank you for reading my review. I hope it was helpful. :-)

You got a toothpick?

Another great story in the Daley Buzz mysteries. This book was fast paced, funny. This is 3rd book i have read in this series. It was just as good as books 1 and 2. I look forward to reading more in this series. The narrator did a good job bringing the characters to life. This time Sabrina and David work together to find out who killed a hypnotherapist who had given his patients a illegal drug that caused side effects. I received this book as a gift in exchange for an honest review.

Okay

I found this series to be very repetitive. It seems to be written more for a young adult that adult cozy. It is a very clean book no fowl language no sex both which I am happy with. But I find the characters to have no real substance. They don't come across as being real. That all said the book was an Okay read just don't expect a deep mystery. Lisa Beacon does a good job of narrating this book. It is hard to see how good she might be because the story is so simply written. I was gifted this book with the understanding that I would leave an honest review.
