This is another wonderful part of Dark Ops. I am pleased with the evolution of Kel, along with the inclusion of his family. They are one of my favorite aspects of the series. Keep up the great work KTF.

Thank you Doc, and thank the emperors for giving you the opportunity to write within this fascinating world. Doc has other books outside of the GE franchise that are equally as awesome as the GE books, but he has given Kel Turner a different voice than other characters in the GE universe without betraying its essence.
Now if you’re reading this and haven’t read the last 2 books of the 2nd season then hurry and listen to this before you listen to those last 2 books. I was confused for about half of the book not knowing if I was ahead or behind the end of season 2. This book really should be right before the last two season 2 books. It rests there perfectly.
Thank you Doc. Now please write some more books in your Mars universe. They are superb and the world is ready for more.

Best so far

I tore through this quickly. It gives great closure to a lot of GE story lines, and fills in the gaps of others. I was surprised at the amount of characters and even major GE revelations.

A Fantastic Finally

Man. There were some ups and downs in here, but now I want even more about his time from family man to his part in KTF. Thanks for giving Kel a place in the Galaxy's Edge universe!

Yet another outstanding book in the series, I continue to be inspired by the lessons in the books as well as Kel's list and his one rule above all. I can't wait to listen to the next story and see where it takes us. The afterward from Doc is great as well and I will be acting on the advice given. KTF Legionnaires

A Fitting Ending.

I thoroughly enjoyed the entire "Dark Operator" series. As a veteran, Doc's closing statement hit home for me as one of the many volunteered during the GWOT. This series, along with the main series and the Savage Wars series, are among my favorites to read and re-read.

For family and friends of veterans, please be patient with us as we return from the military life. Some of us have only known that life and way of living. It takes time to unravel those things and return to what you would call "normal." Just know that some of those things do not go away... especially when we are constantly in "surveillance mode" as my wife likes to call it.

For my brothers and sisters that are suffering: know that you're not alone and all you need to do is reach out. I've never turned away my former comrades when they needed me and nor have they for me when I needed them. We are still bound together through the hardships we all shared. Whether that was boot camp, MOS school, SOI, Q-course, etc... we are still family and we still care about you. Like Kel's encounter with younger Leej's on Orion Station, we still look for one another and always can have a conversation. Life may seem like it sucks, but remember you can change that if you "Take the Shot."

A fantastic conclusion.

The story of Kel Turner has been my favourite in the Galaxy's Edge universe and this sixth book does not disappoint. An enjoyable story only slightly marred by character voices changed from previous entries in the series. Get on it.

Amazing addition to the ge world. Doc spears has become an amazing author. Thanks for the dark operator series. It is and will be amazing. Must read for all sci-fi military lovers.
