Publisher's Summary

Jason Burke is a broken man. The loss of his friend and crewmate on an ill-fated mission to a Pillar World has left him in a downward spiral of rage and self-destruction. But what if Lucky hadn’t actually died on that planet?

While Omega Force tries to pull itself together for the sake of their friend, they also learn that a ruthless new faction has seized control of the ConFed Council and now threatens the stability of the entire quadrant. To make matters worse, the rise of this new regime might be their fault.

Jason’s loyalties are pulled in all directions as he tries to not only help his friend but also correct a horrible mistake from his past. Will his refusal to sacrifice either mission cause him to fail at both?

Legends Never Die is audiobook ten in the best-selling Omega Force series.

It's About time!

I have thoroughly enjoyed this series, and the author took too long providing us with this latest installment of "Omega Force." The series has chronicled the (mis)adventures of 6 souls (5 organic and one synth) who found each other when they were about to be sold into slavery or murdered. Having saved each other, they formed a strong bond and have used their talents in an attempt to help others. I have been a fan of Sci-fi for a very long time, and I cannot name another story, or stories, where the author has provided 6 individuals of 6 different species from different planets, all of which have been given six different histories and therefore completely different personalities, and has knit them into an interesting group who fight against evildoers, while bickering like only family members can. They sometimes make me laugh out loud (to the dismay of my wife who usually is trying to sleep while I listen with headphones late at night). If other readers know of another series even close to this one, please let me know. If you are new to this series, I strongly suggest that you start at book #1, "Omega Rising." This book centers around finding and restoring Lucky to the living, and dealing with a threat from their common past. This book does not resolve this threat, and if you find that you hate cliff hangers, well, wait for #11 before finishing #10. Note to Mr Dalzelle, please hurry up with the next book!!

Omega Force Rebooted

This has been a really fun series with very good character development, great tech and a lot of laughs. Just about the time I thought the author would retire it after what 9 or 10 books it appears to have rebooted into epic scale.
I really hope Dalzelle continues this series...

Ok

I was a little disappointed in this story, basically it’s a set up for the the next book. Still good though

It’s only a filler episode for the next one

Was disappointed to get to the end and realize that the entire book is a short filler to prepare for the next one :(

Outstanding series

Possibly my favorite series ever. I look forward to each new installment. I am fully invested in all the characters and the narrator is outstanding.

Great new chapter - poor microphone quality

I’ll focus on audio quality, as the rest of the performance was top notch as always.

It was especially jarring in the first few chapters, where it sounded like it was recorded in a bathroom.

I could hear echos and general poor quality. This was definitely not recorded in a sound booth....

Dalzelle and Heitsch do it again!

Dalzelle has kept this series moving forward with a multitude of possibilities as to where to take it next.

Heitsch is a brilliant narrator who absolutely makes you forget that this is NOT a multi-cast production. His connection to these characters and the voices make it impossible for Audible and Dalzelle to choose anyone else. And it goes beyond the voices-he adds depth to characters that make you want to know more of their backstory.

The combination of writer and narrator is often a very delicate thing. The book could be great and the narrator falls a little short and vice-versa. But when it works, it’s a novel you want to be a part of as someone who appreciates good science fiction.

Thankfully, the Dalzelle-Heitsch combination is one of the best in the business and it never fails to make a great story even better. And when it’s over, you know you have had a unique and exceptional experience as a listener.
