Publisher's Summary

Back in the game, Ajax, Missy, and Sky make it to the human capital of Tyren only to find themselves on trial for the dead merchants.

Putting them on trial, the king of Tyren has enough awareness to know that players are different than his townspeople. He tasks Ajax to forge a party and conquer a dungeon plaguing the catacombs. But first, Ajax needs to fill out his party. He needs a great team if he’s going to become a professional gamer at the upcoming conference.

Meanwhile, Richard and his family’s ambitions are not idle. As they work to gain more power in the virtual world, a mystery emerges, and the royal castle bubbles with whispers of demons in the city. As if that was not enough, Ajax struggles to understand his newfound magic outside of the game.

Warning: This book contains explicit content, harem romance, and violence. Content may not be suitable for those under 18.

If you hate harem anime, ignore this book.

The headline says it all, really.

Nothing, milquetoast protagonist has women throwing themselves at him for reasons that are a mystery to everyone... it's truly painful.

I'm gonna be honest, I generally dislike the harem genre. I tolerate it on occasion given the few gems I've found in the genre, and it can be titillating.

This book just reads like the author learnt everything about romance from a harem anime though. A really bad one. My one condition for getting me in the door for a story like this is you have to write a protagonist that's believably charismatic enough to justify the attention he does. Ajax is not that character.

Combine that with basically every other male character being a creep and the women of the story not even considering another option ever coming along...

LitRPG very much comes second to the rubbish harem plotline. That's a hard no from me.

It got even better!

The heading basically describes this review but this is actually a good harem/ litrpg book. It still follows the same world logic and game mechanics. I love how the MC is still focused on getting better and not just with the harem.

Predictable, but entertaining

A lot of the plot is pretty predictable, but even taking that into account I enjoyed the book. Give it a shot.

Idk how to feel …

I like the book, the story and everything yet the girls dynamic is just off to me . Chapter 7 with Sarah and Melissa kinda confused me as to what they wanted. I thought the whole thing was for Sarah to get Ajax but it seems she’s more into the girl’s than him. Melissa is the same and well they haven’t came clean about anything so it makes me really unhappy that this isn’t what I thought it was going to be.

It feels cheap in their relationship. Our MC is down and out trying his best against ethots who make money just by being sexy. Then the girls come themselves feel more inclined to be with each other than Ajax ??? My dude is going to be hurting at the end I think…

Great story but needs dual narration

Enjoyable story it progresses well with plenty of action. The only thing it needs is dual narration.
A book of this nature and with as much female dialogue in it really needs a female narrator.
The narrator does a pretty good job, but there is only so much he can do being a guy…
That said it’s still good and I’ll pick up the next book.

Great book

I really enjoyed this book and look forward to the next. I'm excited to see where things go from here. The end opened up a lot of opportunities for coming conflicts. I wasn't happy about how much control the main bad guy had over the MC, but I think that should be over as book 3 will have a whole lot of new stuff going on.

interesting development!

book two is a good continuation of the story, there is a bit of drama that was mostly pointless and a little annoying but all in all it's a small complaint.

No just no! So stupid!

DNF at 50%. Everything is so stupid and makes no sense. The story is all about betrayl that drives the heroes doing task after task (gj for 3 pro games). Everyone is perverted (not in a good way). NPC and rival player is all about lecherous behavious and sexual assault. Heroines loves the MC but loves all other women more. MC is a SJW that whines and wanna do good by all, but agrees with everything (the relations must end in misery). By now everything is predictable and really annoying.
