Heartbreakingly Sweet!!

This was a wonderful story with perfectly flawed characters and a story of hope and redemption.
Emma is a wonderful character! She had a tragic start in life and has worked so hard to overcome and become a successful lawyer.
Noah's had a better run in life, but still has some sins in his past.
I loved the scenes between Emma and Noah, they each played off the other perfectly. The twists and turns the author threw in were nicely done. It was a nice story with a lovely romance included and characters who deserve a happy ending so much!
To whom is may concern: the intimate scenes are all fade to black (not on page).
TW: there is talk of child abuse (none on page), gun violence (in the past), and loss of a parent.

I liked the narrator. I listened at 1.3x speed, since she did speak a little slow for me, but that was easily rectified with increasing the speed. She did pronounce "accelerate" differently and there was another word, but it didn't impact the enjoyment of the book.

Legal Trouble

He was such a swoon-worthy hero. He was a protective lover but she was the type of princess that saved herself. Sure, there’s some typical feelings of not being good enough for the perceived playboy, but it all came together so well. They both fit each other and I’d love to continue the story to find out what becomes of her brother.

Excellent!

Great story, excellent writing with well developed characters. I'll certainly read more from this author. The narrator was also excellent. Not much spice still excellent 👌

Exciting story with just the right amount of spice and suspense. Narrator was the perfect pick to bring these characters to life.

Time for a Lawyer

Excellent story, 5 stars. This is a romantic legal drama, I was hooked pretty quick. Definitely interested in reading more. Emma comes from a rough childhood which left scars on her soul. Noah is a rich boy with strong family ties. Emma ends up representing the Whitlow Group, Noah’s company. Add in intrigue, family drama, miscommunication, and heartbreak, then love, support, reconnections. Narration was fab as well.

So sweet! A story of abuse (past tense not active) , tragedy, triumph, instant connections, and emotional healing! The heroine Emma is so bad@$$ it’s amazing! Super competent lawyer, ridiculously smart, and independent! Being vulnerable is the hardest thing she’s ever done! The hero has past hurts that are still hidden away, will a secret believe he’s undeserving be their downfall?.

Legal romance

This is a legal drama. Emma Morgan is a attorney for Whitlow Group. There she meets Noah Whitlow. Noah is involved in a career ending law suit and needs Emma's help. Noah is smitten with Emma before Emma even met him. Emma and Noah are both haunted by some events from their past. I'd say Emma's bother her more. Someone sets Noah up for a crime. Noah needs Emma's help more than ever. Will Emma believe Noah is truly innocent when he didn't tell her about his secret from the past? Noah is known to be a player with women's hearts so that doesn't help. The extended characters also help set up for book 2. There is plenty of drama and emotions in this book.

Well-written book with interesting story lines and just the right amount of spice and suspense.
The narrator did excellent job!

Awesome hot love story

This book was such a great story. Emma who is a partner in a law firm has had a nasty childhood that she has to over come and works way to many hours. She was finally going for a much needed vacation when her partner collapsed and took ill. She put all her stuff on hold to take the reigns and a full work load. Emma finally starts to feel what real love is when her past holds her from letting go. Noah is a very patient man who helps Emma see that not all men are bad and love is OK. The hills that Noah has to cross to prove to Emma he isn’t the man the courts are making him out to be is intense. I love how in the end Emma finds a way to save Noah. This book was so well written that you are either swooning or having your jaw hit the floor with turns you don’t expect to happen. Staci did a great job writing this and keeping you captured from the beginning. Michelle read this story with so much expression and voice changes that you could tell who was speaking and the emotions they were portraying! Can’t wait for the next book!
