These are very good stories and even better lessons in leadership related to said stories.

Lessons hard learned, and well told

Picked this up on a whim based on an Audible suggestion. I don't regret a minute of it.

A strong focus on servant leadership with perspective.

His humility is enviable.

I have a 4 star on performance, because he is not a professional audio book narrator, but honestly with books like this I prefer to hear from the person.

How close to my own Military and overall life we are, but separate by Ranks.

WOW, We are taking on a challenge when we become Leadership roles. I am an Enlisted Veteran Permanent and Totally disabled and a First responder retired medically from my life of adventure. My life took a turn that allows me to experience the same Leadership reresponsibilities of someone NOT me. I needed a Mentorship. Loved your book.

As the mother of a navel officer I could follow your path and it tickled my funny bones every time you gave a book list. I must have read more then half. I think your wife should write her other side of the coin for the young partners of highly successful people. I fell it my role to jump in as much as I could when my son is deployed or retaining to take a command. Thank you for your service and for writing this book. I got the recommendation to read your book from a Boy Scout board member who heard you speak. Now I must convince my son to MAKE time to listen before he takes over his new command!!
