David Jay has been shooting fashion & beauty professionally for over 20 years. His images have appeared in a multitude of international magazines & advertising campaigns. As an edgy fashion photographer, he was personally impacted when a friend in her twenties was diagnosed with breast cancer. What followed was a remarkable collaboration that led to The Scar Project. David has photographed more than 100 breast cancer survivors. The exhibition of large-scale portraits travels the world. A book of these portraits has been created - The Scar Project: Breast Cancer Is Not a Pink Ribbon. His book Mind to Matter:The Astonishing Science of How Your Brain Creates Material Reality examines the science of peak mental states known as“flow.” Dawson is founder of National Institute for Integrative Healthcare&initiated the Veterans Stress Project treating PTSD. Using Emotional Freedom Technique,86% were subclinical after six sessions of EFT & remained so on follow-up. The results were replicated in more scientific studies.
