About the Creator and Performer
Recognized as “the undisputed queen of kindie rock” by USA Today, Laurie Berkner is a singer, songwriter, lyricist, author, and the founder of her own record label, Two Tomatoes Records, LLC. She has released 12 best-selling albums that have garnered her many awards, including the NAPPA Gold Award and a Cynopsis Kids Imagination Award. As the first recording artist to perform in music videos on Nick Jr., she regularly appeared on Jack's Big Music Show, and helped to develop Sing It, Laurie!, an animated series on Sprout TV. Currently Laurie’s music videos can be seen on Universal Kids’ Sprout House. Two of her DVDs, We Are…The Laurie Berkner Band and Party Day!, have reached No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Music Video chart. In addition, Laurie is the author of several children’s books, most recently for Simon & Schuster, and has written the music and lyrics for three Off-Broadway children’s musicals: Wanda’s Monster (2013), The Amazing Adventures of Harvey and the Princess (2014), and Interstellar Cinderella (2017).

Phenomenal!!!
My 4 year old and 9 year old both enjoyed listening to this. It has kept them completely enthralled and off of their electronic devices in the car! We were all so sad to come to the end. I hope you make another one!

So much fun!!!
We are long time Laurie Berkner fans. This was absolutely wonderful!!! The whole family enjoyed it! The songs we know and love with fun, new stories. Endearing stories. We loved the characters. And the things T Pig and Laurie whipped up in the kitchen during story time inspired us to get in the kitchen too. Highly recommend!

My 1.5 old would repeat words like Hooray! or Hi, etc and even my ten year old said he "didn't mind if we wanted to listen to it" which in preteen means he likes it! My middles and I sing along to the songs and find ourselves singing them throughout the day. I thought the concept of a song and story kitchen was clever, and Laurie and Thallonius have darling voices that were a pleasure to listen to. I can't wait until another of her works comes out!

Sometimes i need to listen to something that i would not normally listen too because i know the kids need something more lighthearted
don't expect complex, don't expect depth. Just expect fun and lightheartedness.

My 3-year-old Is Loving It
Have you ever heard a 3-year-old trying to say, "Thelonius"? It's really cute. My little boy has been asking to listen to this while we eat lunch. We know a lot of Laurie Berkner's songs already, and it's fun to listen to them woven through stories. I like that each chapter is self-contained with the same opening and closing cues. It's nice to be able to have a logical stopping point, and the repetition of each open and close is actually fun for my child to hear again and again (rather than boring). Super happy to snag this among the November Originals. #KidFriendly #Carefree #Magical #tagsgiving #sweepstakes
UPDATE: The kids and I made it to the end, and the last track on the audiobook is around 1.5 hours long, and it's all the songs from each of the previous chapters. And it's not just the abbreviated versions that are woven into the stories. It's the full songs. So, this is basically like getting a free music CD (plus) with purchase. So cool!

Nailed it.
Laurie Berkner's Song and Story Kitchen is one of the first Audible Originals to knock it out of the park. My kid's (age 6 and 4) have listened to it virtually on repeat since I downloaded it. They are singing the songs, and acting out the stories in the car. I wish there were similar books/originals like this. Laurie Berkner is a musical magician for kids.

My son chose this over TV!
the songs and characters are adorable, and engaging. the topics are age appropriate (my son's 5) and the language is easy to understand. he asks for this every time we get in the car.

Laurie Berkner is Awesome!
As always Laurie Berkner has satisfied my little listener. This is engaging with familiar songs and even new songs and we love the multiple accents Laurie uses for all of her animal characters. T pig is very cute and fits perfect with Laurie’s multiple animal friends.
We especially love trying the snacks.
We hope there are more audibles by Laurie in the near future.

Cute, fun, catchy and enjoyable
My four year old and I loved this “kitchen kids” story/song time. We have laughed, sung along and recalled the little learning messages.
The main lady has some sweet songs and stories. Sometimes the voice can be annoying but we didn’t get frustrated with it. My son keeps asking for it, so it’s clearly for the win.
The characters and songs are sweet and harmless. All in all, a good shout. Nicely done Audible. You should make more like this!
