Story
Whose Boat Is This Boat? Comments That Don’t Help in the Aftermath of a Hurricane is made entirely of quotations from President Donald Trump in the wake of Hurricane Florence. It is the first children's book that demonstrates what not to say after a natural disaster. On September 19, 2018, Donald Trump paid a visit to New Bern, North Carolina, one of the towns ravaged by Hurricane Florence. It was there he showed deep concern for a boat that washed ashore. "At least you got a nice boat out of the deal," said President Trump to hurricane victims.

This story is cute, but let's be honest.
Cute story, but it could've been an hour of a monotone voice saying the word "chrysanthemum" over and over and I still would've bought it just knowing it's a giant middle finger to Mike Pence. 🐰

Lovely story of diversity
What made the experience of listening to A Day in the Life of Marlon Bundo the most enjoyable?
Enjoyed the voices take on the characters. I could visualize each one being brave, fearful, or joyful.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Marlon Bundo. He saw inequality and helped everyone realize we are different, and that does not mean we need to be the same.
Have you listened to any of the narrators’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
No. This is my first audiobook.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
Stinkbugs are temporary.
Any additional comments?
Thank for for helping people realize and recorgnize that although we are different, we can relate to each other on a personal level.

I wasn't prepared for that!
I had heard about this book from a friend, they told me it was an empowering and motivating short story about a disadvatged couple and their struggles to be accepted, but I wasn't expecting to be taken on an emotional rollercoaster!
the story really gives you insight into the life of Marlon Bundo, the development of the characters really draws you in.

I bought this book on audible as soon as I saw John Oliver talk about it on Last Week Tonight and I was not disappointed. The story is simple but beautiful with wonderful and positive messages about accepting everyone's differences, about love and about friendship. 7 minutes of heaven
Getting this book seconds after John Oliver said it was available, it was soon in my library and I loved it.
Having been the auntie of two gay rabbits when I was younger, it was relatable and super cute.
Sweeter than a lollipop, I’d recommend this story to anyone of any age.
On the adult side: I couldn’t stop laughing at the references and double meanings of so many things in this story.
The voice actors were amazing, the story was fantastic (and funny if you know the story behind its existence).
Long story short: it was golden and I think I’m going to go throw some rainbow glitter on grumpy people in the street now ^_^

Yes I’m an adult woman but I enjoyed this story. I also have this in hardback format. The story is good and well narrated by famous people and proceeds go to worthy causes which is one of the reasons I purchased this story on two formats. The other reason is because it gets up the nose of certain bigots...but I digress. Great story for open minded parents who want their children to be happy with themselves and know that love is love.
