Google John Oliver Marlon Bundo for Backstory

Thank you so much, John Oliver, for supporting such a worthy cause and charity (The Trevor Project). This was a great listen but I do agree with the other reviewers who said the print version is even better because of the pictures. We got one for our grandson and he loves it.

This story is cute, but let's be honest.

Cute story, but it could've been an hour of a monotone voice saying the word "chrysanthemum" over and over and I still would've bought it just knowing it's a giant middle finger to Mike Pence. 🐰

Lovely story of diversity

What made the experience of listening to A Day in the Life of Marlon Bundo the most enjoyable?

Enjoyed the voices take on the characters. I could visualize each one being brave, fearful, or joyful.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Marlon Bundo. He saw inequality and helped everyone realize we are different, and that does not mean we need to be the same.

Have you listened to any of the narrators’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No. This is my first audiobook.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Stinkbugs are temporary.

Any additional comments?

Thank for for helping people realize and recorgnize that although we are different, we can relate to each other on a personal level.

I wasn't prepared for that!

I had heard about this book from a friend, they told me it was an empowering and motivating short story about a disadvatged couple and their struggles to be accepted, but I wasn't expecting to be taken on an emotional rollercoaster! the story really gives you insight into the life of Marlon Bundo, the development of the characters really draws you in. I give this book 5 hops! would hop again!

Love is Forever

I can't wait to buy this book for every child I know. Bravo, John Oliver & company! THIS is the book (and the world) we all deserve. Love is love is love is love. Take that, stinkbugs.

great moral of the story

The stink bugs stink and they do not know it. They are also pretty stupid, even by bug standards. Don't vote for stink bugs... happily ever after !

A lovely and positive story

I bought this book on audible as soon as I saw John Oliver talk about it on Last Week Tonight and I was not disappointed. The story is simple but beautiful with wonderful and positive messages about accepting everyone's differences, about love and about friendship. On top of this, Jim Parson's reading is great and all proceeds from both the print and audio versions support The Trevor Project and Aids United so I would recommend this story to anyone.

7 minutes of heaven

Getting this book seconds after John Oliver said it was available, it was soon in my library and I loved it. Having been the auntie of two gay rabbits when I was younger, it was relatable and super cute. Sweeter than a lollipop, I’d recommend this story to anyone of any age. On the adult side: I couldn’t stop laughing at the references and double meanings of so many things in this story. The voice actors were amazing, the story was fantastic (and funny if you know the story behind its existence). Long story short: it was golden and I think I’m going to go throw some rainbow glitter on grumpy people in the street now ^_^

I've been eager to listen to this. I was not disappointed. Loved the message of the book so much, I donated my physical copy to a children's charity here in Ireland.

Love it.

Yes I’m an adult woman but I enjoyed this story. I also have this in hardback format. The story is good and well narrated by famous people and proceeds go to worthy causes which is one of the reasons I purchased this story on two formats. The other reason is because it gets up the nose of certain bigots...but I digress. Great story for open minded parents who want their children to be happy with themselves and know that love is love.

An amazing story of Bunny-hopping

What better to start off your day with a beautiful story of Marlon and Wesley wishing that they could hop and hop forever? Heart-warming, funny, and unapologetically family-friendly. Come for the satire, stay for the story.

...because stink bugs are temporary but love is forever. Five stars just for the idea to undercut the big bigot’s bunny book alone!

practically perfect in every way!

Beautiful narrative with enough overbite to engage mum and dad while not overreaching and becoming too preachy. my niece just said "so it's ok that I love wonder woman!?" and we had a great chat about love. Will remember that moment forever guys. thank you Jill and Marlon for a way to help me converse with my family x can not recommend highly enough!

Absolutely love it 😊

Look, it’s a book that is both funny for the adults reading it and good enough for children without knowing the political punchlines. Great pieces of work, loved Jim Parsons narration. Keep up the good work!

Amazing!

This book is wonderful! It's so dynamic and topically appropriate. Despite having a highly political message, it is appropriate for children as well as their grown ups!
