Story
When Trevor Hawkins hits the open road in his beat-up old camper van with his incorrigible dog, Milly, his quest for adventure soon spirals dangerously out of control. The simple act of flushing a hotel toilet transforms his life from redundant sales assistant to fugitive from a gang of psychopathic villains, the police, and MI5. Then there's private detective Sandra Gray, who could cheerfully throttle him for turning a well-paid, piece-of-cake job into a total nightmare. Or could she?
By: Rob Johnson
Publisher's Summary
As a wise man once said, just because you're done with the past, doesn't mean the past is done with you.
Paul can't let an incident from his past go. When he finds out a rival detective agency played a key role in it, he drags MCM Investigations into a blood feud that they can't hope to win. Soon they're faced with the prospect of the company going out of business, and Brigit going out of her damn mind.
When long-buried bodies are discovered in the Wicklow Mountains, Bunny's past starts closing in on him, too. Who can he trust when he can't even trust himself? When he finds himself with nowhere left to run and nobody he can turn to, will the big fella make the ultimate sacrifice to protect the ones he loves?
When all that's left is the fall, the fall is everything.
And even the mighty fall.
Last Orders is the thrilling conclusion of the critically acclaimed Dublin Trilogy, which melds fast-paced action with a distinctly Irish acerbic wit. It's best enjoyed having listened to the other books in the series, particularly the prequel, Angels in the Moonlight.

Solid plot line to go with memorable characters
I recommend you listen to the prequel after the first two books in the series. Save this one for last. This book won’t make much sense if you skip the prequel. I love the plot twists and complexity of the characters. Plus a lot of really funny stuff. This series is one I will revisit in a few years.

Laughed until I ached!
Hats off to the Caimh McDonnell for creating such vivid characters and amusing dialogue. Narrator Morgan C Jones makes his mark voicing so many oddball personalities in distinctive ways. I am sorry that I jumped into this series at Book 4, and give credit to the author for bringing the reader up to speed without punishing those who have already been following along. I enjoyed it so much I just may listen to the first 3 books. The Irish have such a way with words, whether it be in poetry, song, or slang. The slang and casual expressions in this book made me laugh until I ached,

Cartoon characters
I have read and loved previous books in this series but the plots have been increasingly over-complicated and the reading has deteriorated. Any psychiatrist who bartered sessions and then made a joke of the therapy with her patient would lose her license. But what stopped me from finishing more than 30 minutes of this book are the (again) cartoonish voices of several characters. So disappointed. I think the author and reader need to decide if these books are serious novels with a lot of wit...or silly stories with ridiculous characters. Jones’ characterization of Bunny is one of the most delightful creations in any audiobook I’ve ever listened to...but not even Bunny can save this mashup.

A little too much going on.
This book could have been intertwined with the flashback book "Angels in the Moonlight," and edited down. Still good, but a little too long to tell 1 story. I enjoyed it. I don't feel like I've wasted my time. But, it might have been more exciting to add some urgency.

Wonderful!
Another great entry in the “Dublin Series”. I’ve read them all and am still on the edge of my seat awaiting the next audiobook release. Morgan C, Jones does such a great job of voicing all the characters, but especially Bunny, that the audiobook experience is just as delightful even when you know what’s coming. I highly recommend all Mr. McDonnell’s books and this is no exception. Definitely want to have read/listened to Angels in the Moonlight first.

Better and Better
This series of novels are just fantastic, and this one was no disappointment. Crime novels with all the grit filled mean streets you could ask for, but with an abundance of characters - all begging for stand alone novels of their very own - who add wit and emotion and a painful realism to utterly bizarre events and situations. This is laugh out loud funny, but has a solid plot, and is genuinely touching in parts too.

A Big Fluffy Bunny Tail
Bunny McGarry is one of the greats of modern comic literature and in this novel he shines forth with all his glory. Deftly plotted and beautifully read, this is a wonderful story but I can't write anymore as I am moving straight on to the 'Bunny Stateside' series and can't waste a moment. Read and you'll understand.

I can’t believe I’m at the end of this series! Bunny is the bestest & his one liners just crack me up! Burns she grew on me & this book just had me loving her parts & as she was so in the face she is now adored to! I laughed out loud, repeated more parts to my hubby as I couldn’t get over the funny bits. The police bit was so good too! Smooth as & straight in at the deep end. Honestly Caimh McDonnell adore these so much!

Simply wonderful!
If you haven't heard of the Dublin Trilogy yet you have really missed out - the whole series is a treasure trove of wonderful characters and insane events, funny, full of heart and gut-wrenchingly bittersweet in places. The last installment is no different - the narration is first class, the writing is just as good as before and the only downside is that there aren't any more. Audio doesn't get better than this series!

Great ending to the series
The final in the Dublin trilogy delivers another roller coaster of a ride with Bunny, Paul and Brigit. Like the other books with some funny moments, but with a twinge of sadness thrown in, Bunny's past comes back to haunt him. The books in this series have been great listening, but all good things come to an end. Will Bunny's demons finally get him, will MCM investigations survive, will Brigit and Paul settle their differences. All is revealed in this final instalment. I have loved these books and would recommend them. With great narration, great stories and characters, they have all you'd want in a good audio book.

Bunny Rides into the Sunset
Paul Bridget and Bunny have there MCM Detective agency but Paul finds out that another agency played a part in an old incident but Paul being Paul he won't let go and it's a battle he can't win so Bridget fires him and to cop it all a couple of bodies have been found and they have been there approx 10yrs so is Bunny's pass catching up with him and what will and can become of MCM agency and Bunny. Very funny but also sad in places and it that broad Irish accent that set this out on top. The conclusion to the Dublin Trilogy should be read/listened to in the order it's so worth it good Irish humour never a dull moment but some tricky situations, and it's had me gripped all the way along this series and I will have another go at the series when the need for some cheering up. Praise for Caimh McDonnell for a great series and not forgetting Morgan C Jones who narrated perfectly.

Fantastic performance by the narrator
Last Orders Caimh McDonnell I finished the first chapter of this book, and had to turn it off and shout noooooooooo this can't be happening! I gathered up some courage and dived back in! At the risk of sounding like a broken record, but any time I see a combination of Caimh McDonnell and Morgan C Jones, I am going to need to listen to that book! I love the characters, I love the stories, but most of all I love the narrator, he makes this book sound like a full cast. I have loved this series, and feel a little sad that it is now over.
