An anthropomorphic high fantasy, where a hero single-handedly brought an end to an age of horrors and monsters, and the animal world has recovered from the devastation since. But a rising storm threatens to consume the divided realms of the carnivores and herbivores once again. Amid the rising turmoil, a female jackrabbit has spent 10 years in search of a wolf, seeking to be taught what he fears above all else.

Language and violence put it solidly in Teen+ territory.
Good for those who like anthro characters but have outgrown “Warriors” or for those who enjoy immersive fantasy worlds.
I would complain about Zar ( Grey) being a bit overpowered, over-described as ‘confident’, and silent-samurai to a fault; but I think much of this character establishment that will be resolved in the next book. There was softening in Zar’s stone-stoic manner near the end.
The main character, Eni, is instantly likable and relatable. Which is wonderful, as the story is told from her perspective.
This was great fun to listen to for hours at a time. I looked forward to turning this story on and I look forward to book two!
A great theatrical performance, but not for kids!

However, I noticed a few dialogue lines were not voiced (I don't remember where exactly). So maybe there should be more scrutiny on the second volume.
It was worth the listen. I hope the second part will be made one day.
