Publisher's summary

Running from his own demons, Shane Ryan ends up in a cozy little cabin in New Hampshire waiting out a snowstorm. Despite the idyllic setting of ice frosted trees and snow covered lawns, Shane's peaceful hideout is suddenly plunged into chaos. A Micmac ghost army, led by Broken Nose, goes on a rampage of torture and murder. Shane may be a ghostbusting expert, but without his fighting gear, his chances are slim in winning the battle against a supernatural horde.

With Shane missing, Frank knows deep in his gut that his friend is in trouble. He pulls out all the stops and enlists the help of The Englishman, a lunatic who has a passion for killing. They both head to the one place Shane might be - Lake Nutaq.

As the trio prepares for battle, Shane realizes it's time to fight fire with fire, rage with rage and death with death! When they face Broken Nose, Shane sees the medicine man has commandeered an army of the dead to carry out his brutal blood killings. Frank and Shane live on the edge of danger but nothing could have prepared them for the malevolent evil unleashed to destroy them....

Shane does it again!

Would you listen to Lake Nutaq again? Why?

No, probably not. Because I have the book my interest would be more of reading it again.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Lake Nutaq?

When Shane takes responsibility for taking out the major bad guy.(no spoilers).

Which scene was your favorite?

The same. When Shane faces his fears and confronts the major evil one.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Can you confront your fears?

Any additional comments?

Very entertaining as all the scarestreet books and audios have been!

Another amazing chapter in the story!!!

Again, this book was amazing! I love following Shane Ryan’s story as he fights the evil dead that plague the northeast. In this story, Shane fibds himself trapped in a snowstorm, only to find himself shut into a cabin near the Lake Nutaq. Once again, strange forces are fostering the most handouts of dead souls, in this case, a revenge seeking Chief named Btoken Nose and his tribe. With the help of Shane’s friend and partner Frank, abd Franks new ghostly find; The Englishman, the peaceful lake retreat fast becomes a ghostly battleground. This book is a hauntingly good follow up to the Berkeley Street Series!

Shane is a Ghost Magnet

I absolutely Love this series, these are not like the Ghost and Mrs. Muir. It is about Shane needing a break from his house then getting stuck in a snow storm and Ghosts. It has many ghost characters some good some evil, full of action. I love the characters of Shane (ex-marine), Frank (ex- priest and ex-military) and Carl. Keep them coming!! I highly recommend this series to anyone who enjoys horror ghosts. I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by Scare Street. THANK YOU!

A Must read book

This is a series but a great standalone book. I have been following this series since book one and Shane is my hero. He goes in and he kills demon ghosts when he knows he could be killed. This story is well described with believable and interesting characters and ghosts. You will love Carl. Shane goes for a ride to clear his head and just get away from the Berkley Street house (without his bag of tools), he ends up in a snowstorm. You have to read this book is see what happens. Mr Ripley has great storylines that keep you wanting more. You won't be able to stop listening as Thom Bowers does such an amazing job with a powerful narration. He keeps your interest with this storyline. It will motivate you and draw you to the end of the book. I highly recommend this book.

Shane's hands are full!

I think I keep saying it with each addition to the series, but this has to be my favourite so far!! Shane is in way over his head here!!

So this one sees Shane set out from his house to clear his head, but he ends up stuck in a snow storm and stranded on Lake Nutaq. Things here are bad! Shane finds himself in the midst of an army of ghosts, lead by Broken Nose. Shane doesn't have any of his gear, nor a way to contact anyone. How will he get out of it this time??

How much more can Shane take? He is battered and bruised, and missing pieces of himself, but he still fights, and that's why I love this series so much. He is just so strong and brave and selfless. He seems to be getting emotionally better and stronger and just all round awesomer ;)

I love the authors ability to create memorable settings and even more memorable ghosts. Patience and Broken Nose were some of the worst! I also love seeing the flash back scenes and getting to know more on how the ghosts came to be.

This series is one of my favourites. The author never fails to grab my attention and give me chills. Each book is better than the previous ones and each leaves me wanting more. I can't wait to see what the author has in store for Shane next!

Thom Bowers really knows how to capture the essence of the story and knows how to bring the scariness and spookiness to life. He has also portrayed Shane perfectly. He brings across Shane's personality really well and always keeps me entertained.

I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the author, narrator, or publisher. This in no way affected nor influenced my thoughts.
