The sweeping, and highly-anticipated sequel to the Sunday Times bestselling magical fantasy sensation Strange the Dreamer
'A daring quest that demands to be read and reread' KATHERINE WEBBER
''It will leave you changed forever' SAMANTHA SHANNON
'Taylor asks big questions about life and death' ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY
Sarai has lived and breathed nightmares since she was six years old. She believed she knew every horror, and was beyond surprise. She was wrong.
In the wake of tragedy, neither Lazlo nor Sarai are who they were before. One a god, the other a ghost, they struggle to grasp the new boundaries of their selves as dark-minded Minya holds them hostage, intent on vengeance against Weep.
Lazlo faces an unthinkable choice - save the woman he loves, or everyone else? - while Sarai feels more helpless than ever. But is she? Sometimes, only the direst need can teach us our own depths, and Sarai, the muse of nightmares, has not yet discovered what she's capable of.
As humans and godspawn reel in the aftermath of the citadel's near fall, a new foe shatters their fragile hopes, and the mysteries of the Mesarthim are resurrected: Where did the gods come from, and why? What was done with the thousands of children born in the citadel nursery?
And most important of all, as forgotten doors are opened and new worlds revealed: must heroes always slay monsters, or is it possible to save them instead?

Reseñas de la Crítica
Laini Taylor writes like a musician plays, with precision and passion and harmony, each note perfectly placed, leaving her audience overwhelmed and transported . . . MUSE OF NIGHTMARES is a philosophical fantasy adventure, an epic love story, a daring quest that demands to be read and reread and deserves to be remembered forever. (Katherine Webber)
As tragedy and triumph and empathy for both humans and godspawn are held in constant tension, the plotting is exquisite, with turns readers will never see coming and that yet make perfect sense in retrospect.
Gorgeously written in language simultaneously dark, lush, and enchanting,
[Readers] will dive into Taylor's gorgeous prose and brilliant imagery and relish this story about dreams, love, monsters, gods, ghosts, war, and alchemy. Told from alternating points of view, this is complex but satisfying, a story about cultures meeting and clashing
Lovers of intricate worldbuilding and feverish romance will find this enthralling
I was afraid to read too quickly because I didn't want it to be over . . . Laini has done something so special with this duology . . . It will leave you changed forever (Samantha Shannon)
Consumers of magic/darkness will find their needs amply met.

Wow what a great book, perfect continuation and conclusion to the first. Both books are the kind that you just know you found something special. Laini has a way with words and storytelling that really sets her apart.
The characters continue to be so good. The true villains are dead, and we’re left with the scarred survivors learning how to live and carry on. I love how well developed some of these characters are, even the supposed bad ones have depth and you sympathize with them
The themes are dark and sad, but this is a story about overcoming trauma and bad choices and find that despite all the despair, there’s still room for love, friendship and family. To find purpose and light among all the darkness. To carry on dreaming of a better world. It warmed my heart.
My only complain would be that I needed more of Thyon, Ruza, Calixte and Tzara… their chapters were so good. Especially Thyon’s arc was unexpected and I loved him despite hating him on the first book.
What a great duology, I’ll probably still be thinking about these book for a long time.
So good

OKAYY: SO SPOILERSSS BELOW!
***SPOILERRRRSS***
Yeah lol to start, I'm in pessimistic final-exams mode: so, we're going to begin with the bit that feels a little rouge cause thats whats on my brain and then move onto the GOOD STUFFF!!
I'm not sure about Kora and Nova. I was very invested in them, and you start to wonder how they fit together, but some of it felt just a little...convenient. Also the adding of lots of worlds I am in two minds about, on the negative (cause that's what I'm about) it's a little out of the blue...(no pun intended), and maybe it's just been too long since I have read Strange, maybe other worlds were hinted at A LOT more (excluding the giants and angels tales). On the other hand, that's kinda cool ^-^ I love me connected worlds #thelongearthteam.
I also feel like Mr Pretty-boi, Thyon, came around much quicker than he should have. I will admit that he was having his butt kicked into shape, and dire situations are much more likely to make people change...but even so I feel like it's a liiitttle speedy 180 degree turn.
OKAY!! So now the fun stuff.
Let's just start with saying HECKERS Lani Taylor writes with pretty words. It almost feels like you're reading poetry half the time, but not in a magniliquent, flowery way. Just a way that opens your eyes to what the characters are experiencing. Very show don't tell (which, as a prodigy writer, I appreciate). All her characters have well filled in gaps, and they feel like they all have very unique voices and clashing-ish culture that come through.
I am not a massive romantic, BUT I WOULD KILL for Sarai and Lazlo. #yustheteam. They are one of my favourite ships ever,
かわいい!!! Minya, I loved getting to know her more, and seeing her grow is awesome. Don't get me started on how much the Godslayer and his wife made me choke up with "aww".
I'm going to cut things short cause my phone keyboard is being a menace and keeps trying to randomly correct words to stupid things.
But on a finishing note (There is goes! Tired to correct 'note' to 'more' for NO REASON)
This book carried through beautiful feels, I will admit that still a tiny piece if me in not satisfied, and if this is a trilogy (Which at first I thought it was)--then this is not how a trilogy arch flows. But I guess this just means that it's more than a trilogy YAY!
Unless, this is actually the end of these guys stories, which I wouldn't mind just so long as we see more in this world.
#allaboutmultiplestoriesinoneworld!! #diskworldyesboi
