Story
As a movie location scout, picture-perfect is the name of the game. But her last project literally went up in flames, and her career is on the verge of flaming out. Greer has been given one more chance, if she can find the perfect undiscovered beach hideaway for a big-budget movie. She zeroes in on a sleepy Florida panhandle town called Cypress Key. There's one motel, a marina, a long stretch of pristine beach and an old fishing pier with a community casino-which will be perfect for the film's explosive climax.

Publisher's Summary
Take a splash of betrayal, add a few drops of outrage, give a good shake to proper behavior and take a big sip of a cocktail called…Ladies' Night!
Grace Stanton’s life as a rising media star and beloved lifestyle blogger takes a surprising turn when she catches her husband cheating and torpedoes his pricey sports car straight into the family swimming pool. Grace suddenly finds herself locked out of her palatial home, checking account, and even the blog she has worked so hard to develop in her signature style. Moving in with her widowed mother, who owns and lives above a rundown beach bar called The Sandbox, is less than ideal. So is attending court-mandated weekly "divorce recovery" therapy sessions with three other women and one man for whom betrayal seems to be the only commonality. When their “divorce coach” starts to act suspiciously, they decide to start having their own Wednesday "Ladies' Night" sessions at The Sandbox, and the unanticipated bonds that develop lead the members of the group to try and find closure in ways they never imagined. Can Grace figure out a new way home and discover how strong she needs to be to get there?
Heartache, humor, and a little bit of mystery come together in a story about life’s unpredictable twists and turns. Mary Kay Andrews' Ladies' Night will have you raising a glass and cheering these characters on.

A Riot!
Where does Ladies' Night rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
Highest category - I buy audio all based on the narrator - they have to be good and not grind on your nerves - this one was superior! l
What other book might you compare Ladies' Night to and why?
Savannah Breeze by Mary Kay Andrews - which was one of my favorites!
What does Kathleen McInerney bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Love the accents - she captures each of the ladies perfectly!
If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?
Ladies Night is not for ladies!
Any additional comments?
As usual Mary Kay is a riot – Have read all her books – and love the mixture of antiquing, photography, staging, interior design, restoration, love, revenge, girls time, and romance! Another good one- overcoming tough times no matter what! (especially loved the Sarasota/Siesta Key, Florida tie in since I live in South Florida on east coast and love vacationing southwest Florida!

Hilariously funny!
I laughed out loud listeing to this book. it was quirky, funny, good narration and I just love the way the main character bounces back in a kick ass way. I love old houses, house renovations, home decor, cooking and more and also with a good romance thrown into the mix! Oh and did I mention the little dog.. I love romance, animals, food, home decor.. This book had it all.

Hopeless main character
I enjoyed this book as I have all of Mary Kay Andrews but the choices the main character made were quite ridiculous. Why would you move out of your home and just let the husband ruin her whole life surely the law would have stepped in. Do not know how he could get away with what he did nor understand how any judge would be allowed to act the way he did.

WHAT NOT TO DO WHEN MARRIAGE ENDS
I actually found myself talking out loud as the story progressed. Rule number 1, don't move out of your house. Rule number two, secure your savings account immediately. Who can admire a female who admittedly left ALL financaial decisions in the hands of her husband? I found no redeeming values to the main character; and that's important to me. I want to empathize with a main character. If anything, her cheating, guileless husband showed that he was smarter than his wife. Nevertheless, I did not give up on this book. But, I would not recommend it.

Great narration cheap plot
This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?
I think those enjoying reality shows might enjoy this. A story about a chic lady, living locked with the rich and famous. One cheating husband crushed it all. This could be chic-lit but I was exploring the plot BEFORE it happend. A very good chic-lit contains a great laughter, one too many bills and a couple you love.
I dissliked the main character and thought hard not to give in. I held my breathe and I got through it.
The narrator did a great job much better than the plot deserved.
What do you think your next listen will be?
" out of easy".
What about Kathleen McInerney’s performance did you like?
She nailed every character. Wow!
You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?
Yes: The news reporter rocked!

Didn't enjoy this one
This book was too predictable. The weak lead character drove me crazy and I almost didn't finish it. I miss the writing of her earlier books. The narrator was good keeping the characters separate, however every women had a whiney voice and that got old quickly.

Fun, light read
I liked the book because the story's main character Grace was someone who was funny and smart in a real way; the rest of the characters had distinct personalities and baggage. Interesting twists and turns in each person's life, just a smidgen of drama and a happy ending made it an easy, fun read.

Well, not exactly what I expected, I thought I was in for pure humor and levity and found that I got quite emotional in a number of the scenes.
If you have ever been through a divorce this may drug up some old memories of your own experience.
At one point, I almost stopped listening to the book, I had already determined the outcome, but there were portions of the story that were disturbing to me.

Wish I could read Grace Notes now!
Would you listen to Ladies' Night again? Why?
I think I would definitely listen again... I enjoyed the journey Grace took to pick herself up and grow stronger as the story progressed. Fun listen.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Ladies' Night?
the bra on the BBQ maybe?
What does Kathleen McInerney bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
the voices of the different ladies in the group
Who was the most memorable character of Ladies' Night and why?
I loved Grace
