Publisher's summary

The Labrador retriever is hands-down the most popular dog breed in America, and with good reason. This wonderfully versatile breed was originally bred to be a working dog, later as a hunting dog, and finally as a beloved home companion. Labradors also excel as therapy dogs, assistance dogs, drug detection dogs, and search and rescue dogs. In the show ring, the Labrador dazzles.

This is a very generalized book and not specific to Labs

Disappointed that the information provided is very basic, not much science-based information, and doesn’t add to knowledge specific for Labrador Retrievers. The information on the website is more information and doesn’t cost anything.
Maybe the folks that gave this book a good review didn’t do much prior background reading on dogs in general for them to give this book a high rating. As a general dog book, I would give it a 3 out of 5 but since it is sold as a breed specific book and there is little information related to the breed, I give it a 1 out of 5… and I’m being generous. Don’t waste your money, checkout the author’s website instead.
