Knucklehead

De: Adam Smyer

Narrado por: L. Steven Taylor

In Knucklehead we meet Marcus Hayes, a Black law student who struggles, sometimes unsuccessfully, with the impulse to confront everyday bad behavior with swift and antisocial action. The cause of this impulse is unknown to him.

When Marcus unexpectedly becomes involved with the brilliant and kind Amalia Stewart, her love and acceptance pacify his demons. But when his demons return, he is no longer inclined to contain them.

Reseñas de la Crítica

"Marcus is an intelligent, acerbic, and often hilarious narrator, bringing a fresh, biting perspective to the social and racial tensions of the time that, as debut novelist Smyer makes clear, are not particularly different from today." (Library Journal)

Won’t soon forget this one

Powerful story. Artfully written. All the characters felt so real! I laughed and also I cried my eyes out. Voice acting was 10/10

Narrator did it for me

I’m not sure that I would like the story as much if it wasn’t for the narrator. He did a great job.

Fascinating and pointless

Fascinating and well told story, about someone' whose life eventually just seems pointless. This book will make you think, but in the end will disappoint you. Not because it's a bad book, but because the protagonist is demonstrably a nucklehead. Frustratingly well told story.

Not my normal

This is not a book I Rod normally listen to but I loved Knucklehead! I listened to it on Audible for free. I especially love that Knucklehead was a GREAT read that didn’t use any of my credits. Thanks Mr. Smyer.

Not a good listen

The whole book is about a guy rambling no story or plot if it wasn't free I would as for a refund
