Friends to Lovers, Small Town Romance

I'm not going to lie, this wasn't the perfect ending to the series, but I did still quite enjoy the overall story. Honestly, my only issue with this one was the ending. Everything felt very rushed right at the end and there was no real discussion between Foster and Sonia about any of the issues that arose between the two of them. Outside of that, I did enjoy the story and characters quite a bit. I liked how the relationship between them developed, the slow build to more between them was handled really well. I'm glad both of them found someone who really loved the other for who they really were. They may have stumbled along the way, but they found there way back to each other, and I did love how they supported each other.

Amber Kelly is an author I will definitely be checking out more from. I'm looking forward to jumping into her most recent series, Balsam Ridge. I loved the small town aspect of this series, and the close family and friends were a major highlight of this series. I just know the other work from Amber Kelly is going to have those same things, and I'm looking forward to that.

Great stories! I wish it hadn’t ended! I could easily enjoy another five Poplar Falls stories!

Didn't see that end coming at all!

Great second chance romance for both characters. This was a bit shorter compared to the rest of the books in the series. A couple of times, I felt that there was more that could have been said. Like maybe the author was rushed when she wrote this one. That's my biggest complaint... I wish there had been more of Sonya and Foster! The climax and the end of the book were really close together, and I would have loved to see them 'together' just a little longer. Overall, a great listen.
