Publisher's summary

In a series of riveting interviews, America's senior statesman discusses the challenges of directing foreign policy during times of great global tension.

As national security advisor to Richard Nixon, Henry Kissinger transformed America's approach to diplomacy with China, the USSR, Vietnam, and the Middle East, laying the foundations for geopolitics as we know them today.

Nearly 50 years later, escalating tensions between the US, China, and Russia are threatening a swift return to the same diplomatic game of tug-of-war that Kissinger played so masterfully. Kissinger on Kissinger is a series of faithfully transcribed interviews conducted by the elder statesman's longtime associate Winston Lord that captures Kissinger's thoughts on the specific challenges that he faced during his tenure as NSA, his general advice on leadership and international relations, and stunning portraits of the larger-than-life world leaders of the era. The result is a frank and well-informed overview of US foreign policy in the first half of the '70s - essential listening for anyone hoping to understand tomorrow's global challenges.

Saving his Legacy

As Kissinger's end draws near I get the feeling he is desperate to bolster his often misunderstood contribution to our country. It's sad in a way that he lives for the approval of his nation, one that is divided against him.

Say what you will about him and his time, but Kissinger undoubtedly represents an intellectual approach to realism and geopolitics on a scale few Americans have faced. To those who seek his undoing, objectivity requires you to at least understand the man.

Well narrated, well told.

interesting and easy read

A good opportunity to hear Kissinger talk easily about his views and thoughts on international relations.. his ability to talk on people and events that he was in contact with is unique.

The audiobook would’ve been better if they had had a different narrator for the interviewer and for Kissinger.

THE GOLDEN AGE OF DIPLOMACY.

A diplomatic lesson for today diplomats and foreign policy makers.
As the autor mentioned: Leaders who do not have a geopolitical strategical goal will become victims of future events.

As usual Dr. Kissinger present the historical events as they happened as well as the efforts invested to reach the goals.
It is remarkable that Dr. Kissinger at his age still is producing this landmark book.
I hope one day his book DIPLOMACY will be available in Audiobooks.
Thanks
Dr. Jesús L. Gutierrez
