Another killer romance!
I read her first book of this series, Once Upon A Duke and just had to buy this! The story takes place in the same town of Chrismuth as the first but a different life altogether. Penelope and Nicholas' gradual development made me cry to the end. The author's humorous timing is well placed without being cheesy. The love scenes was very tactful yet steamy and nothing short of hypnosis. Character development was very relatable with a splash of past traumas that the characters had to realize was contradicting what they truly felt towards each other. Great book to listen to by a warm fire. Perhaps with a pair of glass turtledoves next to me.
