Publisher's summary

She’s a single mom holding on to her job. He’s a career man focused on his business. Can they put the past behind them in order to build a future together?

When Filipe Romano arrives at the SoliMar beach resort, his newest acquisition, he plans to complete renovations quickly before moving on to his next property. But a stumbling block arises when he discovers Celeste, the sister of his deceased best friend, is an employee at the resort’s aquarium, which he intends to sell. To complicate matters more, he has unresolved feelings for Celeste and blames himself for the accident that killed her brother.

Celeste Ferreira, a stressed single mom, needs a miracle. Without any means to start over, she clings to the job she loves as aquarist at the SoliMar Aquarium. After she discovers the new owner is Filipe, an old family friend, their history makes it hard for Celeste to trust him, especially with her position in peril.

Though closing down the aquarium makes good financial sense, Filipe finds himself reluctant to disappoint Celeste and decides to help her with the repairs for the upcoming inspection. But is working side by side enough to forget the past and build a new future, or is the pain between them too deep to move on?

Another Great Romano Story

This is one of my favorite Romano family stories. Celeste and Filipe were friends when they were younger but Filipe disappeared after a family tragedy. They happen to meet again and in the end done their HEA.

Sweetly romantic

Celeste and Filipe have a history. When Celeste encounters Filipe years later as the absentee owner of the aquarium where she works, she struggles to deal with him. Filipe has loved Celeste a long time and he shows that love by how he cares for her as the book progresses. I think one of the nicest gestures in a sweet romance is a character taking care of the other party when sick. I guess that represents a spoiler for the book, but it shows a kind and caring heart.
I love how Celeste and Filipe are able to work through their past and their differences to form a strong bond.
The narrator does a great job.
I received an audiobook code from the author at no cost. My opinions are my own.

Sweet and Swoony!

I have been so excited for this story, all the way back to when Lucinda Whitney sent out a teaser in her newsletter. I read it and when I came to the end of the teaser I couldn't help but think how I was already in love with Celeste and Filipe. I probably don't need to say how excited I was when I finally was able to read and listen to it. I've actually been waiting for Filipe's story much longer than the last couple months. He is part of the wonderful Romano family that are featured in this series. If you haven't read any of them, can I just very kindly (and maybe a bit emphatically) nudge you to do so. You can read/listen to them as stand alone novels but if you have the time I would highly recommend starting at the beginning. They continue to get better and better. The writing in each book is done very well but I think part of the getting better for me is that I have become more invested in this family as I have come to know them individually and as a whole. I love their traditions and their love and care for each other. I love stories that showcase families, hence my love for this series. I don't know if I could for sure tell you which book is my favorite but this one is definitely up there. They're all so good and unique for the different characters that I have fallen in love with all of them.

I loved the second chance trope for this story. Especially when Celeste and Filipe finally realize who each other are. Be still my heart (it might have pitter patted a few times throughout the book). Filipe Romano is, in my opinion, the epitome of a perfect gentleman. If you've read the book in this series, Love Me At Sunset, then you've met Filipe and have a little bit of knowledge of his story and character. If you haven't you're definitely in for a treat. Anytime he thought of Celeste, he was always searching for ways to care for her, to show her that she mattered to him, even if she would only allow friendship between them.

I just loved the tender friendship and romance between Celeste and Filipe. They compliment each other as characters. Add into that relationship her son, Lucas, and the dynamics of their relationship were even better. And can I just add in my thoughts about that cover? It is absolutely stunning! It fits the title and a certain scene so perfectly! I love it! If I were to nominate a book by its cover alone, this one would win hands down for me!

I haven't really mentioned half the things I wanted to in this review but I think I've done a good job of conveying my love for this book. This one is one I highly recommend. The setting in Portugal, at an aquarium added such a fun dynamic to the story. There are plenty of great surprises throughout the book. There's humor and tender moments. Heartache and sweet moments of healing. Definitely plenty of swoony moments as well. Grab a copy and dive in!

Content: Clean. Sweet and swoony kisses but nothing further.

Happy Listening!!!

Felipe and Celeste

This review was designed so it would not give away the plot. I wanted to give the reader some facts to judge whether or not they would want to listen/read this story.

What I enjoyed and liked about this audiobook:

• Felipe and Celeste were characters that you wanted to discover more about as you read this story.
• Celeste's son Lucius added depth and heart to the storyline.
• The descriptions of locations and emotions were well done, easy to visualize, and to feel. I felt a part of the scenes.
• The setting of this story at the SoliMar Aquarium added uniqueness. There are not many stories set at an aquarium.
• The pacing of this story was excellent. It was not too fast nor too slow, and it flowed smoothly.
• There were twists and turns to the plot that made it unpredictable.
• This was a feel good story that left you with a smile on your face at its end.
• This was a clean read and I appreciate that.
• I really enjoyed the job the narrator did to bring this story alive.

At my request, I was given a free copy of this audiobook from the author. I have voluntarily left my review and my opinions were my own.

Love the Romano family

I love when another Romano Family book comes out. It's a large family so there could be oh so many more books in the future. This is Filipe Romano's story and it's a great second-chance-at-love story. Filipe is about to open his SoliMar Beach resort and finds out he's the new owner of the aquarium next to the resort. The aquarium has seen better days and he's been advised to sell it. Complications arise in more ways than one when he realizes one of the workers at the aquarium is Celeste Ferreira, a girl he was friends with and dated twelve years ago.

Celeste is a single mom of an adorable little boy, Lucas, who's struggling to make a life for them without any family support. What will she do if Filipe sells the aquarium? Can she forgive him for what happened so long ago and give him a second chance?

I loved this story, but wondered if Celeste and Filipe would've gotten their second chance at love if it hadn't been for the adorable Lucas. He's just as much a part of the story as the two main characters. Celeste is a strong woman trying to get by on her own, and isn't sure if she can trust Felipe again even though the feelings she once had for him come back in full force.

I loved Felipe and how he treated Lucas. They were so sweet together especially with the swans and collecting seashells. Felipe has a naturally caring nature and I swooned when he took care of them when they were both sick.

Of course there's someone there to try to keep them from their happily ever after, but luckily that doesn't last long. I look forward to reading more Romano Family books!

I loved the bonus chapter which takes place 9 months later so we get to see Filipe and Celeste get their happily ever after. I love listening to the audiobooks because the narrator pronounces the names as they're meant to be pronounced. The narrator is very good with pronouncing the Portuguese names and doing both the female and male voices.
