Publisher's summary

Every year Lady Repton opens up her grand estate to host 'Cherringfest' - the Cotswold's favourite music festival. And this year will be special, featuring not just the return of the legendary and infamous metal rock band, Lizard... but also the home debut of the young and wildly successful new group, Unlost. But what should be a summer weekend of fantastic music, food and fun for all, turns frightening when murder is threatened, and one performer is nearly killed. Soon Jack and Sarah are in a race against time, trying to untangle a web of jealousy, egos and revenge before this Cherringfest ends in a deadly climax...

Set in the sleepy English village of Cherringham, the detective series brings together an unlikely sleuthing duo: English web designer Sarah and American ex-cop Jack. Thrilling and deadly - but with a spot of tea - it's like Rosamunde Pilcher meets Inspector Barnaby. Each of the self-contained episodes is a quick read for the morning commute, while waiting for the doctor, or when curling up with a hot cuppa.

Co-authors Neil Richards (based in the UK) and Matthew Costello (based in the US), have been writing together since the mid-90s, creating content and working on projects for the BBC, Disney Channel, Sony, ABC, Eidos, and Nintendo to name but a few. Their transatlantic collaboration has underpinned scores of TV drama scripts, computer games, radio shows, and the best-selling mystery series Cherringham. Their latest series project is called Mydworth Mysteries.

The narrator of the audiobook, Neil Dudgeon, has been in many British television programmes including the roles of 'DCI John Barnaby' in Midsomer Murders and 'Jim Riley' in The Life of Riley. He is also known for his film roles in The Nativity, Sorted and Son of Rambow. In 2012 Dudgeon starred as 'Norman Birkett' on BBC Radio 4's Afternoon Play series written by Caroline and David Stafford.

Waiting on the TV adaptation!

I love these little “episodes”. It’s been fun “watching” Sarah’s kids grow up, her detective skills get stronger and Jack and Sarah’s relationship grow closer. I’d love to watch this on tv one day. However I already have a picture in my mind of what the characters look like so I fear I’d be disappointed with the casting

Excellent edition to this lovely series

I enjoyed this story, especially following the way Sarah's children are growing into responsible young adults. Neat little mystery, great little clues, fun to solve.

Always entertaining

Love this series. I like Jack’s character a lot. Down to earth and very easy listening.

Another excellent ride with Jack and Sarah

I really enjoyed this 39th installment of the Cherringham series. Even though I had a good idea “whodunnit” early on, the story kept my interest throughout. This is not exactly a gripping crime mystery, however the backstory of a “boys will be boys” adventure that goes tragically wrong and how the character deals with the guilt as an adult through his music resonated with me. The close friendship, trust, and respect between Jack and Sarah makes this duo incredibly like-able, which is why I eagerly look forward to the next installment in the Cherringham series. And Neil Dudgeon does an excellent job narrating.

Killer Track Cherringham shorts

Haven't listened to one of these for a while, so glad I got the opportunity, loved every minute of it. If you enjoy short murder mysteries, try these, they become addictive. Think I missed a couple, must check and get them. You will love the characters and narration is excellent.

Great series..

I love these little stories with Jack and Sarah solving crimes. This one was about a singing trio that were in danger, until they discovered the lead singer, Ryan, was the one in someone wanted dead.

There was no romance and no swearing to speak of.

As for the narration: Neil Dudgeon is very good but after 39 books you'd think, by now, he'd try a little harder to sound a little more feminine, since Sarah has sooo much to say in these stories.

Great Series, Engaging Story..

These stories are very entertaining. My one issue is rather technical: the Audible version has 50 “chapters,” most of them less than five minutes long and bearing no relationship to the book’s actual chapters. This can be very irritating when trying to find your “place” on a different device, (or when you doze off and need to rewind a bit.)
