Chloe Cook is back with another case to crack!
When a loudmouthed, egotistical comedy club owner is found dead, Chloe's once sleepy hometown of Cape Cod is rocked to the core. Even worse, the police think one of Chloe's best friends is the killer.
Convinced that her friend has been framed, the feisty, pie-loving cosmetics saleswoman is left with no choice but to take matters into her own hands to find the real killer herself.

Renee Dorian Begley did a good job narrating. She brought the characters to life.

This unfortunately, does not have anything that makes you want to read on.
I found the character to be unbelievable and I was surprised that the other characters actually told her things when they did not need to since she was not a cop. And the things she said to the dective at the beginning I found that really hard to believe.
Also what does the dog in the cover have to do with the story because I don't remember the dog being mentioned in the book which shows that if the author did mention it it was insignificant.
This book is not for me but others might like it more than I did.
The narrator was OK but I would have liked more emotion put into the characters.
