Wonderful Single Mom Slow Burn Romance!!

This was a wonderful slow burn single mom romance! Walker and Mallory were wonderful characters and complimented each other perfectly. I enjoyed the slow progression of their relationship. Nothing was forced or seemed to be moving too quickly. The pacing fit with the characters, Mal starting over with her daughter, and Walker was the love-em and leave-em type.
Walker's group of friends were wonderful! They came together to help each other out when it was needed. They offered support for Mal and Lizzy when she (and Lizzy) needed it.
Lizzy was also a delight! She wasn't just in one scene then forgotten about, nor was she three going on thirty-five. She got to be a kid and steal everyone's hearts!
There's a light dash of suspense thrown in that makes the story more fun!

There's swearing, steam, talk of drug use/selling drugs.

I enjoyed both narrators! I thought each of them did a great job giving their characters voice and personality, and differentiating all the voices of the different characters in the scenes. I'd definitely listen to other books narrated by them! I listened at 1.1x speed.

This was a great first book of the series. Great small town romance with a cinnamon roll guy!

This story drew me in so much more than I expected

Wow, this story drew me in so much more than I expected honestly. Walker, the self proclaimed forever bachelor, falls hard for Mallory.... and then her little girl also wraps him around her tiny finger. Little kids tend to melt your heart in the single parent books, and no exception here. Mallory is a strong, tough woman fighting to get back on her feet. Walker is a sweet and very protective man after your heart. There were some surprising twists, but everything worked out for an HEA for the little family. And I'm invested in the other partners of the Burgers and Brew and really want to dive into their stories! PJ Morgan and Scott Rose were new narrators to me and I definitely enjoyed their performance while bringing this book to life.

Good Start

This was a good start to the series. I liked the cast of characters and the dynamic between the friends. I wish there was a little more development and felt the ending was a bit rushed. Narration is done well overall a nice listen.

Great start to the series. I enjoyed the build up of the characters Mallory and Walker. I loved the narrators they did amazing.

Book 1 - Burgers and Brew Crüe

I absolutely adored this listen! A great start to what is sure to be a wonderful series. Well written, smooth storyline with perfect dual narration. I loved the dual point of view as well. Our main characters are bar and grill owner Walker and new to town single mother Mallory. Walker has a firm no hookups with employees' rule but all that seems to fly out the window when he sets eyes on Mallory. Mallory is new to town and a struggling single mother who is determined to provide for her daughter - who is the best character addition ever. Also - I commend and fell in love with the narrator's rendition of toddler speak - absolutely perfect! Anyway, this instant chemistry between these two just show that rules are sometimes worth breaking and Walker soon finds himself not only in love with mother, but her daughter has stolen all the bar owners' hearts. Speaking of the other bar owners - I really appreciated how tight knit these friends who have become family are and their dynamic throughout this book is so well portrayed. A great, heartwarming love story. I can't wait to see which one of the Crüe will fall next!

I loved it!

This is the first book in the Burgers and Brew Crüe Series. Walker and Mallory's story is sweet, and heartwarming. Walker is handsome, protective, and supportive. Mallory, a single Mom, is beautiful, smart, and caring. I liked the instant attraction, and the sweet romance. Mallory's daughter Lizzie is adorable! The storyline is fast-paced, and engaging. The supporting characters are great, and interesting. I can't wait to know more about the Brew Crüe members! PJ Morgan and Scott Rose did a great job bringing this story to life. I enjoyed it. Looking forward to listening to Don't Go Away Mad, Jasper's story, the next book in the series. I love Lacey Black's writing! #PFPAudio

Great Story! Added to my favorites!

These guys! ❤️ What a great story! I love this new series! The idea of these four friends coming together to start their own business is wonderful. How they each are involved in the business and are able to do what they love just makes my heart smile. Then add in how they have each others back?….just makes this delightful!

I really liked Walker! He is good natured, easy on the eyes and just an overall excellent friend. I enjoyed his and his friends antics at the bar. It shows they still appreciate what they have built and they can still have fun. Mallory is full of charm and kindness which comes out in everything she does. I liked her for Walker. They complement each other nicely.

The title fits so perfectly into this. That is one of the things I love about this. Everything rounds out nicely. I can not wait for more in this series!! I did listen to this on audio. PJ Morgan and Scott Rose did the narration. They both did a wonderful job.

So likable

Life is good. Owning a bar, Burgers and Brew with his best friends, tending bar, and entertaining the crowd is everything Walker could ask for. He has his family and there's always a willing woman when he seeks female companionship. He has everything he needs. Or he thought so until the new waitress catches his eye. But Walker doesn't date where he works. Mallory is a single mom who isn't looking for romance. She escaped a bad situation and only wants to create a good, safe life for her baby girl. Her walls are firmly in place. However, rules and walls fall by the wayside...

This may be a predictable trope but the characters elevate the story. They are all so likable. They made me immediately want to read the other guy's stories. I loved that Walker fell in love with mother and daughter and vice versa. I listened to the audiobook and wholeheartedly recommend it. The narrator-casting is ideal. PJ Morgan and Scott Rose do a fantastic job bringing the characters to life. Scott Rose is quickly becoming a favorite of mine. His sexy drawl was perfect for Walker and his friends. PJ was equally good at voicing Mallory and adorable little Lizzy.
