Abducted at eighteen. Held captive for 15 months.

It reads like one of those headlines. And yes, I did it. I stole her. Nora, with her long dark hair and silky skin. She’s my weakness, my obsession.

I’m not a good man. I never pretended to be one. She can love me, but she can’t change me.

I can, however, change her.

My name is Julian Esguerra, and Nora is mine to keep.

***Keep Me is the sequel to Twist Me, told from Nora & Julian’s POV.***

Whew!! That was INTENSE!!!!

What made the experience of listening to Keep Me the most enjoyable?

I liked having the man and woman narrators. They worked very well together.

What other book might you compare Keep Me to and why?

I'm not sure - This is a very DARK book that many will find very disturbing but its like a train wreck .... you can't turn away from it.

Have you listened to any of Roberto Scarlato and Shirl Rae ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

no,but I would listen to them again. Great job!

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I did have an extreme reaction to this book and I did cry. It also kept me on pins and needles!! I cringed and sweated right along with the characters.

Any additional comments?

This is a great listen but be very prepared for the darkness. It is a romance but very different from your traditional romances.

JULIAN & NORA….A COUPLE LIKE NO OTHER!

I was one of the fans who bought the 2nd book immediately when it was released. I didn't think I would get the audiobook, but I'm sure glad I did. It was like the difference of watching a film in black & white with no sound, to watching a vivid blue ray on an HD television. Seriously!!! Roberto Scarlato was freaken amazing! He brought warmth and a soft side to Julian, plus add the sexy. OMG, his voice is gorgeous & he did a wonderful job. Now, Shirl Rae, I can't say enough about her narration. She is amazing! She is one of my favorite narrators. These narrators brought this gripping, visceral, dark story to life.

Julian and Nora's story has fully captivated me. Friends have described this book as "moderately dark" and I think that is why I was taken aback by this story, because when the horror of how Julian had ensnared Nora is pulled away, well, at the heart of it, they both want each other. This love story is pretty intense, and I think, "moderately dark" is just about all I can handle (I'm a light weight when it comes to dark romances, I suppose).

This book takes place where "Twist Me" has left off. It has wonderful twists and turns, and very shocking situations that I was NOT expecting…..CRAZY SHOCKING, but the best part of this book was all of the "Julian and Nora" time. Their relationship is still visceral, fire-invoking, and far from traditional. Julian continues with his pain/pleasure sex with Nora. And, there were times I just wanted Nora to give him a smack down for being a psycho with her. (Yet, that is all a part of this story and Julian's progressive development as a character.) In terms of loving-making, he is an outrageously unpredictable lover in the bedroom. At times, he's sadistic and too much, other times he's a sweet, sensual lover. The bottom line is that Nora is lost to him, and Julian can't get enough of her.

They have some issues to resolve with the inequality of their relationship, and I like how Nora did develop more strength in dealing with Julian. I loved how Nora became stronger, as a person, and her level of bravery astounded me toward the end. OMG, she was fierce & badass!!! That fierceness that resided within Nora is what made her a fit partner for Julian-- like a missing puzzle piece. Of course, she still deals with inner conflict about loving a man like Julian, but it's evident, especially at the end of this book, that she adores that man.

On that note, in terms of Julian's feelings for Nora, you can see that his need and obsession for Nora is something that he is processing continually, and trying to improve. I love that Julian is faithful to Nora and his need/love for her is singular. He still struggles to categorize his feelings as "love" since he is not a good man. In fact, Julian can be a monster. So, getting into that......How to describe what kind of man Julian is--Well, what is the level that comes above an "alpha male?"--Because Julian is in a total different pond when it comes to alpha males. In fact, he's a friggen shark in the ocean when it comes to defining his power, strength and dominance. Julian is an independent arms dealer, creator and manufacturer who has both good and bad relationships with nations in the world, and an enemy in Al-quadar (a terrorist network) that proves to be his only challenge, but a close to deadly one. In that respect, if you have hated Julian along the way, well you might feel his outcome was a just consequence for the type of life he lives, but let me say that I was shocked!! I won't say more because that would give a bit away!!!

I will be waiting very impatiently for the release of the final installment. I did love the alternating POV's of both Nora and Julian and I hope the next book is the same.

Anna Zaires did an incredible job with this installment, and I can't wait to see what else she has in store for Julian and Nora.

Keep Me Good

I Loved Roberto's voice.
I love this series. Julian Esguerra is not a nice man he kidnapped Nora because he wanted her. I stayed up all night reading this book I just couldn't put it down and this is one book that I am looking forward to listening to it on audio. Held captive for 15 months Nora Leston an 18 girl from the Midwest fell in love with her kidnapper. After being kidnapped by a terrorist group along with Beth who was killed Nora believes that Julian was killed in an explosion. For four months Nora is lost without him and she didn't know how to start her life over until Julian returns. This book picks up where the last one "Twist Me" left off Julian shows up in the middle of the night to take his Nora. This book to me is better than the first one and I really loved the first one. In this book we get to here both of their POV and I loved that. This book we also get to hear and understand why Julian is the way he is how he grew up with a horrible father and a mother who was too afraid to stand up for him. In this book you get to see how Nora has grew into a strong person although she is still unsure if Julian loves her, which he does he just has never felt or received love before she knows that he wants and needs her and that he is never letting her go and you also see that she loves Julian for who he is a sadistic monster that bring out the masochistic in her and she loves it. This book had a few twist in it that I want give away but I loved the first one and I loved how he did it. This book had some very hot sex scenes in it I mean the book had me "throbbing". I loved that Nora was able to tell Julian what she needed and that she was able to stand up to him although it didn't do her any good I love a man that takes what he wants and doesn't apologize or feel any guilt for doing it. This book was very well written and I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series so Ms. Zaire please make it early 2015. If you love to read dark erotic non-con I highly recommend this series I will even loan it to you. I have read a few series where the second book is not as good as the first one this one is NOT one of those.

Love A Real Bad Boy

This book went way past my expectations. I loved the first one but really loved this one. The growth of Nora in this book is great. And she's taking control of her life, as much as she can under Julian's control. She lives in a dangerous world so she adapts, she changes.
She's not a victim anymore. I loved towards the end when she faced her fear and rescued him.
The narration was pretty good. I love it when they have a male and female narrator. It really adds to the story. And the male narrators voice suited Julian. And the female voice suited 20 year old Nora.
This is a brilliant series and Julian's Character suits the world he grew up and life's in. Some Authors strive for a bad ass and fall short, Julian doesn't. Julian is really realistic. The Authors pull no punches. Julian is not a good guy, never will be. But he loves Nora. This is a great listen can't wait for the third book. I'm really thankful the author decided to make this into a series instead of just one book. Thanks for listening to your fans

Beautifully Twisted Love Story

On the Narrators...
Both worked well together but the best parts were always Julian's POV for me, mainly because we didn't get that in the first book.

Most memorable part...
The marriage ultimatum. There was so much going on stemming from that part of the book that it stands out so brightly for me. The fact that Julian had no problem making Nora bend to his will was disturbing yet I still grew to love him as she had...

Overall opinion...
Both Twist Me & Keep Me made me realize some interesting things about myself. I love how it made me look inside my own feelings as they journeyed through their messed up relationship. Through darkness there was light. I will continue to follow these writers. Great books and I hope to read/listen to many more of this type of story. You've got a lifetime fan. Worth both the credit or the purchase!

Loved it

There is a part 3, but what I loved most of all about the authors, is the books do not end with cliff hangers. it concludes yet still keep wanting the next book in the series.

I loved the ending. I am enjoying how the characters are evolving. Looking forward to book 3

Fantastic

If you could sum up Keep Me in three words, what would they be?

Raw, Real and Hot

What was one of the most memorable moments of Keep Me?

The sex scenes are hot - but Norah shooting Majid was awsome.

What about Roberto Scarlato and Shirl Rae ’s performance did you like?

They were very good - they actually added to to story - I've read the book but hey made it come to life, in a non-corny way.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Julian is a sociopath - he doesn't pretend to be anything else - he's real about it all. Norah is intelligent and acknowledges what has happened but is accepting of it. The characters have developed, they are not your "normal" couple but they are lovely to watch.

Any additional comments?

Well done - can't wait for the final book.

Loved it!

I loved this book! It was exactly what i expected the sequel to Twist Me to be : UNEXPECTED! You never know what's going to happen in an Anna Zaires book, it was hot, it was sexy, it was emotional, it was scary, it was crazy, any emotion you can think of and at one point or another in the story you're going to feel it. It's dark and sensual exactly like you'd expected from an Anna Zaires novel and the plot is spot on. This book really has everything.

Exciting second book in this dark, twisted trilogy

This is book two in this wonderfully twisted, dark romance trilogy. Be sure to read/listen to Twist me before reading/listening to this book. This story is getting more and more intriguing and twisted and I look forward to listening to book three Hold Me for the conclusion of Julian and Nora's story. Loved the fact that this book has dual POV's, because it was nice to know what Julian was thinking. The narrators did an excellent job in bringing these characters to life and I'm super excited about book three.

Dangerous, sexy love story <3

After reading the first book in the series and loving it I was dubious that the second could live up to its predecessor.. but I'm happy to report I was wrong.. this book takes Nora and Julians relationship to a new level and kept me wanting to read more. Once again narrated beautifully, this book kept me on the edge of my seat right until the last page. Plenty of sexy scenes and a love story to break up the violence with characters that you just wanted to get to know more. I didn't want the story to be over when the last page had been read! Well worth a read! 5/5 stars!

Keep Getting Better!!

Holy Bananas!! I was a little worried that the second book wouldn't live up to the expectation, but damn this book is so good.

In the first book it was all based from Nora's pov but now we have both, Nora & Julian's pov.
And more character building. I am so in love with Book 1 & Book 2.

I can hardly wait for Book 3 which will be awhile as the author is working on it. The author is not currently only working on Book 3 but also on other two books. And from the progress of book 3 it will take sometime, I am dreading over it already.

Not going to spoil anything from this book because you will love it, no disappointments, only that it was over quickly!

Also, to the narrators you guys did an amazing job!!
