Great series and book

I am not going to lie I struggled with the supernatural Turney was turned into although the author did and excellent job explaining how there were two sides one hidden and one acceptable for day to day interaction it was still hard for me. Because of what years of horror movies ingrained. But that did not detract much from the story. Again great characters that I hope we continue to see in the future. An engaging story, that was fun, funny, mystery and a little sad thrown in. But I just loved the Vampire and his special brand of crazy - especially when he turned into the bat and the Narrators voice for that hysterical! Again authors story and writing was superb and narrator was perfect for these characters. So happy I started this series.

Keep it together

I love this series so much! We’ve still got our adorable sugar and glitter obsessed vampire Octavius and our adorably sweet human Turney who loves all things soft and cuddly along with sugar. I’m so happy to see these two develop their relationship even more along with the side characters. I’m very pleased with having the POV’s of both the main characters. I love the different cases the characters get into and how they solve it. Though the end makes me want to scream a bit. I need the next book and want to hug these characters. If you love hilarious situations then this is a great book to listen to. And Lance West does an awesome job bringing life to the characters and having all the emotions.

A Great Book!

This book was so good! It’s the continuation from the last novel. I was hooked throughout the whole book. This series is becoming one of my favorites. Shelby Rhodes writes these stories so well! They are always entertaining and enjoyable. Lance West was good, but not one of top narrators. I’d highly recommend.

Loved it

I loved this book. Lance West does a amazing job bringing the story and characters to life. Detective Octavius Evander and the crew are back. They have cases, danger, love and tons of glitter. Will they survive the dangers of the case and paranormal world?

Deadly Chaos and Fun Ensues

I've been impatiently waiting for this book. I fell in love with world of The Undead Detective Agency in the first book, Get It Together. And this book delivered all that I wanted and even threw in some bonuses.
The world building got even better and new characters were introduced that add more craziness and suspense. The familiar characters continue to grow (not feel stale) and captivate the readers, digging themselves deeper into our hearts. The dark gritty plots of the story are still perfectly balanced with humor, not overwhelming the reader. There is more steam in this story due to Octavius and Turney's relationship developing and becoming stronger.
Octavius continues with his antics and love of glitter. And Turney deserves a medal for putting up with all that glitter 😂 and taking in stride his discovery of the supernatural world. But it's not all fun and glitter, Octavius is being hunted by an old enemy. And this enemy is not easy to capture, creating fear and chaos. It had me seating at the edge of my seat, heart racing, needing to know what will happen next. And then the story takes an even darker turn, shattering my heart. And before it could heal, the book ends in a major cliff hanger. Now I REALLY need book 3.
Lance continues to do a great job of bringing the characters to life, bringing out each emotion, and giving each their own voice

Loved it!

Interesting mysteries, there’s more than one they need to solve. I just LOVE how Lance voices Octavius’s bat voice, makes me giggle every time!!
