The definitive portrait of Kate Middleton, the beloved and private Princess of Wales, tracing her stunning rise from working-class roots to queen-in-waiting, from #1 New York Times bestselling royal biographer Christopher Andersen.

Kate is one of the most photographed, most talked about, most written about women in the world—heiress to Princess Diana’s glamour and mystique, both wife of one future monarch and mother of another. But as the daughter of an airline attendant who grew up in public housing, Kate was not destined for this fate. She had to fight for it—and for the love of the future king.

In this illuminating portrait, master biographer Christopher Andersen chronicles Kate’s life, beginning with her humble upbringing; her off-again, on-again love story with William that catapulted her to global fame; and the 2011 “Wedding of the Century.” Throughout their marriage, Kate has proven that she is more than just a prince’s wife—she is a leader in humanitarian work, the devoted mother of three children in the media spotlight, an unparalleled fashion icon, and the universally adored face of Britain’s monarchy.

Yet her story is more complex than the public knows. With startling new details from his inside sources, Andersen reveals the full picture: including Kate’s fight to repair William and Harry’s rift, the disintegration of her relationship with Meghan, her work to refute charges of racism leveled at the monarchy, and her bravery in the face of cancer—her diagnosis and treatment, and the bizarre theories that swirled around her public disappearance.

Kate! is an against-all-odds romance, a glittering fairy tale, and a heart-tugging family drama within the modern monarchy—but most of all, an inspiring saga of one woman’s grace and grit in the face of adversity.

C.A. was cautious in her writing about the Kate and William and the challenges they face together in regard do Kate’s illness. William’s childhood appears to have haunted him as he faced possible losses from his Wife and Father. Overall Princess Katherine is stronger than most of the Monarchy.
I pray she continues to be well and strong as she leads beside William in the very near future. There are a few surprises in the book but overall this story is about willfully surviving the main issues of leading in the Monarchy while not being physically well. I think the repeat story of Princess Diana’s history was just filler for the extremely important topic of Kate and William and their children. May Christ be with them - always.

The book basically gives a narrative of previously seen pictures and some 'inside' gossip. Some history. Already heard most info.

Not much new

Overall, most of the story is pubicly available anywhere. The one thing that this book did show is that the Prince and Princess of Wales went out of their way to make Megan Merkel uncomfortable at their first meeting. The author tries to say that for William and Kate, they arent emotionally, physical and don't hug people right off. They need time to warm up to you. They need their space. and then he spends a whole lot of time telling you how Kate hugs, firefighters and is hugging this person, and that person... makes it pretty clear that they were bound and determined to be unhappy about the Merkel wedding. No matter what you think about Meghan Merkel (I'm not a fan) doesn't matter. It's clear from this book and many of the other publications about the family. She never had a chance in this family.

Story is redundant. Most of the information has been publicly available for years. If you are up to date on all things, royal, there is no new revelations in this book to be had.

eh, listen to the book at 1.2 or 1.5 speed otherwise, it's torture.

The author seemed biased at points when they write about the turmoil between the royal family and Harry and Meghan where they write about how ‘Kate’ and William were the only ones who did anything wrong and how difficult it was for poor Harry and Meghan and then when they referenced how The Crown got the depiction of ‘Kate’s’ mom correct and how Kate was always chasing after William from Childhood to college. Just seemed like the author doesn’t like the Royal Family but wants to write a book about them to make money in my opinion.

Seemed Biased At Points

This book read like he was ghost writing for the Sussexes. He makes Catherine out to be a doormat & doesn't question anything that Meghan or Harry did to the family. I finally had to stop reading after he wrote that Catherine was sending gifts & notes, even after the Oprah interview. He makes it sound like she's desperate to have them back in the family. I couldn't listen to anymore of this pandering to Meghan & Harry under the guise of writing a book about Catherine. The title alone should tell you that he doesn't respect her.

Did he ghost write this for the Sussexes?
