Kate Witt has spent her life running—literally. She had dreams of becoming an Olympic champion, but when an injury ended her running career, she found a new passion in private investigation. Working at Voss Agency has given her a purpose and a family, and she has never been happier. But when Brooks Underwood walks into her office with a mystery, Kate realizes that she’s been taking a very cautious approach to life after her injury. Brooks, however, is anything but cautious, and he pushes her every button as they work together to figure out who shot one of Eden’s city council members.
