Kascius is returning to Scotland after a long absence to search for a missing War Dog. Kascius’s relationship with his family is strained at best. He is hoping to get the job done quickly so he doesn’t have to spend any time around the woman he once loved. Little does Kascius know Ainsley is the nurse caring for his mother and she is at the family farm every day. Ainsley is doing her best to do her job and not let the fact Kascius is back bother her. She has a job to do and the relationship they had has been over between them for a long time, Kascius will never forgive her for her youthful mistakes. I loved this book; the story is original, and the characters are all amazing. There is so much going on with the characters. This book has everything, family problems, deceit, revenge, danger, a missing War dog, murder, and greed. This book had me from page one and I couldn’t put it down. This is a must read!
