Publisher's summary

Nicole Parsons had the perfect life, made complete with the suburban home and the proverbial white picket fence. When tragedy struck and she lost the most important people in her life, she turned away from everything she loved before, shutting out every reminder of the perfect life she lost.

It has been one year, three months, one week, and six days since the accident, and Nicole is ready to stop counting the days she’s survived, and begin living again.

On a dare from her best friend, Nicole encounters Zack Walters—the popular alternative rock star and man who signifies so much of her past—and suddenly everything in Nicole’s safe and quiet life changes.

When she’s forced to face the pain she’s carried for so long, will she truly be able to heal from her past and begin to live again?

Or will her new adventure ruin her completely?

A power ballad for the soul.

Just One Song is a lyrical dance between pain and hope. Lynn orchestrates a song of triumph and heartache that is as haunting as it is inspiring. Kelly and Thorne give voice to a duo of unforgettable people that are hard to get out of your mind and heart. A power ballad for the soul.

Fabulous Story & Listen🎧 Captivating & Heartfelt!

This is a fantastic rockstar romance novel, and I loved everything about it, from Stacey Lynn’s wonderful writing style to the fabulous characters and storylines she created to the perfectly cast narrators who bring it all to life from the pages to your ears. I am a big fan of rockstar romance, heck I am a big fan of rock stars in general, many times it is the rocker who is angsty and broken but Stacey Lynn puts her own unique spin on the trope, giving us an established, level-headed rocker who has gotten to the stage of his life to know what he wants and when he sees it he goes for it except, she does not want him because of who he is. I adored the two lead characters, Nicole Parsons and Zack Walters, there are some great secondary and support characters too. Nicole Parsons had it all, but that all changed in a blink of an eye and the only thing that remained was her grief, a grief she has struggled with for over a year. Her good friend Mia was there for her the entire time, but now she is trying to get her out of her funk and back into the world of the living. She finally gets her to go out for some cocktails and Mia, knowing Nicole would not turn down a dare, dares her to find a guy to flirt with and get him to buy her a drink. She had her eye on the guys hiding in the back booth and went for it. Zach was hanging out with Chase, his friend and bandmate, when she started a conversation with them. They did not know what her deal was, but they went along with it and, after realizing she did not know who they were, Zach found her to be amusing and wanted to spend more time with her. Nicole still struggles with her what she lost and is not sure if she could move past it and when she tries other things freak her out, things she is not sure she can handle. Zach is a patient and understanding man and he does not give up on her. This beautifully written and plotted story has all the feels and there is a perfect balance of drama, heartfelt emotions and sweet romance. Stacey Lynn, thank you for this wonderful story and the emotional rollercoaster ride.

🎧📚🎧 And for the fabulous narration, Meghan Kelly and Neill Thorne are talented narrators and voice artists. They had a complete understanding of the characters they portrayed, gave each a voice that fit the character’s persona to a tee, sounding believable and just as I pictured the characters to sound. Meghan Kelly nails it as Nicole, capturing her every emotion and has you feeling every single one. Neil Thorne jumps in for the several chapters told in Zach’s point of view and he rocked it, playing the role with perfection. Both were great at performing the roles of the secondary character as well. These entertaining storytellers are a pleasure to listen to and their narration enhances an already fantastic story to another level. Thank you for another wonderful listen.

Needs to be re-edited!!!!!

It was a great story line but it needs to be fixed!!! There’s a long pause between chapters with multiple repeated sentences.!! Also the hero only reads about 3 chapters!!!!! So it’s basically told by the female narrator

Just One Song 🎵 🎶

Just One Song (Just One Song #1) is a rock star romance with a flip twist to the trope. Zach Walters is a well put together rocker who is well entrenched. The writing style is emotionally charged with romance. Nicole Parsons is more fragile and has dealt with tremendous loss and pain trying to start a new life. Adventure sprinkled into the words. Supporting character's made the scene bringing entertainment. A comtempory sweet romance story with a well balanced storyline,

Meghan Kelly, Neill Thorne dual narration was 85% Meghan vocalizing Nicole's thoughts. Her inflection was smooth and brought out Nicole's emotions perfectly. Neil portrayed Zach Walters perfectly.

*Please note I gave the 5 star performance based on performance and did not lower due to technical issues of the audio. I'm assuming the technical issues have already been corrected by now or they are working on them. But the audio I listened to had big pauses between chapters, etc.

Starting Over

Nicole's world stopped when she lost her husband and son. She stopped living. After almost two years she wants to move forward. She was willing to spend a night having fun with her best friend, Mia. She had no intention of meeting anyone. Fate had other plans for her. I enjoyed listening to this story narrated by Meghan Kelly and Neill Thorne as they bring to life Zach and Nicole's love.

I enjoyed this book from the beginning. Full of well written characters that had depth and personalities. The story had emotional highs and lows which kept a nice flow. Narration was amazing.
