Living with his little brother, Fudge, makes Peter Hatcher feel like a fourth grade nothing. He's a two-year-old terror who gets away with everything, and Peter's had enough.

Story
The Pain and the Great One hardly agree on anything. But deep down, they know they can count on each other, especially at school, where it often takes two to figure things out. Like when that first baby tooth falls out on the school bus. Or when an unwanted visitor on Bring Your Pet to School Day needs to be caught. Or worst of all, when a scary bully says you're burnt toast. On days like these it can feel good not to go it alone.

Freckle Juice is a classic and a must read for kid
Freckle Juice was one of the earliest books that I read as a child, as opposed to it being read to me. I was also a wearer of freckles. I hated my freckles. This book helped me accept my freckles. There is always something that people do not like about themselves. Freckle Juice was an example of self acceptance. One did not need to make the juice and drink it to realize that something that we hate in ourselves may actually be desired by someone else. Something that we desire in someone else may be hated by them. As a child, this book helped me to develop a healthier attitude towards things that I could not change about myself. I bought this book in both a hard copy and as an audiobook for my son. I think that there would be a lot less plastic surgery, if more people had read Freckle Juice as a child.
I had not read Green Kangaroo book. I was not a middle child. I imagine this book would have definite impact on a middle child. Ms. Blume has had a knack for expressing what kids struggle with.. I would in fact recommend her children and teen books across the board.
I enjoyed Laura Hamilton's performance of these stories.
