A Boy And His Dog, Not Quite...A Dog With His Boy

Journey to Glory

At first glance I thought this would be a book about Ethan Meyer and his journey to the Civil War. However, most of the book is from the perspective of Sam, a dog with clever observations, who accompanied Ethan in his "human warfare [is] madness."

This is excellent for any teen or preteen (8 years and older.) It is real to life without being gory or off putting.

Haley Whitehall and John Lowe are a perfect writer and performance duo. Well done!

Couldn’t Finish It

The story is not bad. I have read hundreds of audio books with no complaints, but the person reading this book was the absolute worst. I’m not sure how this reader got past Audible, but he really meets no minimum standard of reading or what punctuation marks mean. My grandson and I lasted 20 minutes, then tried again the next day, but we couldn’t finish the short book.
