Publisher's summary

All he did was apply for a job, and then his world was turned upside down.

Thrust into the world he had no idea about, Jordan Sutton’s only goal was to get a job working for Duncan Pryde of Pryde Industries. He thought werewolves, vampires, and faes belonged in fairy tales, not in the real world. What will he do when he finds out there’s more than meets the eye to his boss and his family?

Duncan Pryde had too much going on in his life. He became the sole guardian of his twin niece and nephew along with the addition of his pack and company. He had no time to think about a mate when trouble came to his front door. What happens when the man he hired for one job turns out to be his destined mate? Does he deny what he feels or embrace it?

Torn review

I’ve actually never ventured into the kind of story before, so bare with me. Overall I’m super interested in the world build that could take place here. The narrator did an amazing job....why I say I’m torn is there just wasn’t enough to fill in the gaps in the characters. I wish the author would have maybe wrote double the pages they did to give us more depth to Duncan in particular. The story seemed rushed, and I actually loved the over all arc. A lot and I mean a lot of potential with these characters and world . I will read the next one and hope the author continues to build upon it.

When’s the next book coming out?

I one-clicked this book based on a recommendation I saw on a Facebook group. It’s shifters, fae, vampires and dragons so I figured, why the heck not give it a try. I’m so glad I did. I enjoyed listening to this one. Interesting world building and interesting characters as well. There was a few secrecy but it all unfolded in due course. Duncan and Jordan were hot together. I love that Duncan didn’t want to slap labels because he is right, Love is love. I adore the twins as well.
I can’t wait listen to more of this series.

Sean Crisden did an excellent job.

Can't Wait Until The Next Installment!👍

I enjoyed listening to this story. From the beginning, to end. This story was very enjoyable and interesting. The characters were well defined. As always GR did an amazing job of bringing each character to life. and his narration was top of the line. I recommend listening to this story instead of reading it yourself. You will not regret it. The story leaves you wanting more. And, because of the cliffhanger I think that's what will get. I cant wait until the continuation of this story!🙂GR pleeeeeeese, write book2 and put it on adubile. I'm chopping at the bits waiting for it!☺

Great beginning to this series

Jordan Sutton is more than meets the eye, as is his new boss Duncan Pryde. Neither of them knows what Jordan is until more than halfway through the story, and Jordan doesn't know what Duncan is till then, either. His job application brings him to Duncan's home and lands him the job he ISN'T after, introducing him to Duncan's niece and nephew and beginning the process of blending him into the family. They are irresistibly drawn to each other, and once Duncan reveals his other nature, Jordan must take increasingly large leaps of faith as he discovers a world he had thought only existed in fairy tales. To discover that he is also part of that world tilts his perceptions of reality completely and his emotional stability is compromised for a while, resulting in arguments with Duncan, who must come to terms with the fact that his fated mate is male when all his life he has been with women. Neither man has been in a relationship based on anything other than lust, but knowing they're fated and learning about each other helps them fall in love as well. Sean Crisden performs the parts well and renders the emotions admirably.

The beginning of a great new shifter series

I don't believe that I have read anything by this author before, but that is an oversite that I plan to correct. This was a good solid start for a series. The characters were interesting and well fleshed out. The writing and pacing were good. And the story was entertaining. It was light and fun in places and serious and full of action in others. I gotta tell you though it's a good thing that paycheque had so many 0's because I would never... Oh right, I don't do spoilers. Read it you will probably enjoy it.

Sean Crisden was his usual gifted self as the narrator of this story.

Jordans Pryde loved it

I absolutely love this book I am blind. I love to this into audiobooks. The only thing is is that I cannot find a copy of the second book in the series on here or on any other. It would be nice to find out what happens.

Sean Crisden's performance is pure and solid gold!

It is ALWAYS a thrill to come across a new-to-me writer and discover a treasure trove of wonderful stories yet to be experienced. I met this writer in an LGBTQ+ book group on Facebook on a post she published to promote her novel. I read the synopsis and was anxious to immerse myself in the world she created. Narrated by the simply incredible Sean Crisden, the novel takes on a life my imagination could never have provided.
In 'Jordan's Pryde' we encounter Jordan Sutton who is drowning in bills when he gets notified that he is scheduled for an interview with immensely successful Duncan Pryde, a man he had been following through the media. He is accidentally sent to the home to interview for the nanny position instead of the personal assistant position he was hoping for. Getting along well with Pryde's nephew and niece, the mix-up sticks and he is set up in the household of the very successful man.
It isn't long before he discovers that the world of shifters, vampires, and fae exist. Generations-long enmities are present among the factions and between groups within each as is the situation he finds himself in. He discovers he is the result of a union between two different supernatural beings and is considered an abomination. That person wants him and his father's kind permanently destroyed.
Author Giovanna Reaves writes a story packed full of ALL that is essential in ANY wonderful book: great world-building (a world populated with supernatural characters), excellent character development (the leads grow together as lovers and as a mated pair with the opposition), distinctly defined conflict (as mentioned previously), and clearly delineated conclusion (which eliminates the immediate threat yet leaves the main couple intact). In addition, she checks off the additional boxes of impeccable pacing (the rate at which the writer introduces key elements in the story) and precise balance (the distribution of varying types of elements in the narrative)! She provides readers an incredible M/M romance that isn't dependent on the quantity or quality of sexual scenes. The book stands firmly on its own. Readers need more, much more from this exceptional writer!

Pack, company and true mates

This is narrated by Sean Crisden who is a favourite narrator of mine, so I jumped at the opportunity of a review promo code for this author who is new to me. I do love shifter and true mate stories, so this seemed like a good addition to my already extensive library. I found the characters to be quite rich and well-defined. Jordan being a human brought into the shifter world when he discovers that the company CEO who he is hired to assist is Alpha and Jordan is his true mate.
Recommended for all lovers of Shifter romance and true mates.

Brill

I loved listening to this book about Jordan and Duncan who meet when Jordan applies for job and inadvertently gets the job as the nanny. When they realise they are mates they then learn something interesting which changes everything for Jordan. I enjoyed the suspense Jordan learns about his past. The narrator was brilliant at bringing the story to life.

A world of shifters...

Jordan goes looking for a job at Pryde Enterprises when he finds two sweet kids and a gorgeous Alpha who he is drawn to. Duncan can’t get his mind off a certain manny. There are secrets and death plots, lots of action, a world of shifters and mates who have much to discover from each other. I love a good world building and this story needs unraveling. I am hoping the next book to be about Blaze and Ryland. It is also well narrated.
